Clarke's last. May be Vettori's last as well?
MCG: What better place can you think of?

Stars:
Warner vs McCullum
Finch vs Guptil
Smith vs Williamson
Maxwell vs Anderson
Clarke vs Taylor
Watson vs Elliott
Haddin vs Ronchi
Faulkner vs Vettori
Starc, Johnson vs Boult, Southee.

They matchup well.

Too extremely fit and hungry team. Australia's 7th finals wow!!! NZ's first.

Did you guys notice how I put the Aussies first?

12 hours to go.

Hoping for a New Zealand win, cricket needs a new winner, and it would also shoot up the popularity of the game in that country. Australia winning again for the zillionth time will be boring,

Supporting NZ.

Although NZ were one of the favorites but they performed way better than many expected.
Hoping for a good contest.

B MaCc made a emotional appeal to Indian fans for support.

He doesnt have to appeal to any one for support. Most other fans will support NZ in this final anyway.

Rooting for NZ. I like Vettori. If NZ win then we can brag about a lot of things 'cause we perform well against them usually. But AUS is a very strong team and it's Clarke's last game.

Terminally ill Martin Crowe says World Cup final could be 'last game I see'
New Zealand’s former captain Martin Crowe, who is terminally ill with lymphoma, has penned a moving tribute to his countrymen ahead of Sunday’s World Cup final.

In a column published on Cricinfo, the 52-year-old said Sunday’s match at the MCG might be the last he ever sees.

“My precarious life ahead may not afford me the luxury of many more games to watch and enjoy,” Crowe wrote.

“So this is likely to be it. The last, maybe, and I can happily live with that.“

Crowe, who played 77 tests and 143 one-day internationals for New Zealand, was regarded as one of the world’s best batsmen during the late 1980s and early 1990s.

He was diagnosed with follicular lymphoma two years ago but it went into remission.

Late last year, however, a more aggressive form of the disease, double-hit lymphoma, developed. Crowe said he had been told only five per cent of sufferers survive more than 12 months.

Crowe said he had decided against chemotherapy and was instead trying natural treatments.

He was inducted into the international cricket Hall of Fame last month and is making the trip from New Zealand to watch the final live, cheering on the players he regards as the “sons I never had”.

“I will hold back tears all day long. I will gasp for air on occasions. I will feel like a nervous parent,” he wrote.

“Whatever happens, March 29 at the MCG will be the most divine fun ever.”

Black Caps skipper Brendon McCullum told a news conference on Saturday he had read Crowe’s column.

To complete it, I have to support the other (better) half. The thread is for both teams.

Sad to learn about Crowe, once one of my favorite players. But, he was always negative about BD cricket.

New Zealand's progress over the last two years is a blueprint for teams outside the top 5 to better their game and be a force to be reckoned with

I was going to give M Crowe a special tribute. Then I thought the man is still here and fighting. It may not be the traditional way but who knows.
