Default Kamal to take legal action against Srinivasan

Kamal to take legal action against Srinivasan
Minhaz Uddin Khan

International Cricket Council (ICC) president AHM Mostafa Kamal will take legal action against the organisation as the former Bangladesh Cricket Board president and Bangladesh's minister for planning, Kamal was not allowed to hand over the ICC 2015 Cricket World Cup trophy to champions Australia after the finale in Melbourne.

This guy will surely embarrass us and damage our cricketing relations with ICC and BCCI in turn. In previous years presidents were in the podiums because they were the head of the ICC, now its the chairman. The president is just a nobody now.

Kamal is insulted by Srinivasan.

The ICC constitution clearly states that the president will present trophies at global competitions, and according to sources, things changed on Saturday after an informal ICC meeting on Saturday. Sources indicated that Kamal was ‘insulted’ twice during the meeting and questions were also raised over his ability as the ICC president. Kamal (who is Bangladesh's minister for planning)’s ‘conduct’ came up for discussion too.

I think he has every right to take legal action. He was supposed to give away the trophy and was sidelined at the eleventh hour.

If he thought he was going to represent ICC in place of Srinivasan he is a fool. It was never going to happen. If he really said he would sue ICC that only shows his desperation for recognition. He would get nothing out of suing ICC. And I don't believe he would sue ICC because an unjust was done, there must be other issues. He is not known as a man of moral.

The point here is kamal got robbed off the rules. It clearly states President should hand over the trophy. Now is kamal the president? YES. So he should have handed over. Anyone other than that handing over BREAKING the law. He has got complete RIGHT to file a case here.

And when did we have any good relation with bcci? Never. They do not even bother to get us a tour there.

And I heard Aleem Dar and Ian Gould was planning to sue Kamal for the remarks that he made a few weeks back. Anyone know the latest update on it?
Anyhow, he should have known the big 3 would never allow a Bangladeshi to have power in ICC, at least not when we are still a bottom ranked team. Even South Africa do not have as much say over matters as the big 3. News flash for Mr. Lotus Kamal: Hasina cannot save your @$$ everywhere.

If he knows the the laws and thinks that things didn't go as per the laws then he should take the legal action. If ICC constitution says head of ICC will present the trophy, then Srini and gong is right. Otherwise, Kamal is right.
He's still yet to come out with his dozen umpiring mistakes, for which umpires might sue him.

After this WC, BCCI-BCB relationship is anyway going to nosedive. BCCI may prepare weird pitches for Bangladesh in T20 World cup first round.

Srini won the ICC Chairmen seat Unfairly.

According to this news head of ICC should give the trophy. Who is the head is not clear ?

Peeved at not being given the opportunity to hand out the World Cup trophy to the champions, International Cricket Council (ICC) President Mustafa Kamal on Sunday left the Melbourne Cricket Ground even before the final between Australia and New Zealand finished.

I have no sympathy for Loitta. He is a jackass and sold BCB out at the ICC with his useless president post. Now he'll drag Bangladesh cricket through the mud with his pettiness. CTN.

How authentic is the news from Dhaka Tribune? I have encountered a lot of tabloid like news bloated from rumors during this world cup.

In any situation the best riddance would have been making a public statement about this insult and lodge an official complain rather than going all berserk and start showing high court every chance you get.

Short sightedness. Can't think of consequences. Stupid ego. It will hurt the board. Can't he not see that?

Sri is too powerful. Even corruption charges could not sideline him. Modi couldn't fight. Silly simply silly.

Let him do whatever he wants........ as much as I hate him, he should take action against something illegal. Its not about winning the fight its about showing he is not a coward and raising awareness in the media and others. Srini is hated by everyone including his own board upto an extent

If Kamal is right, he should go all the way. Putu putu days are over for BD against our neighbors. Short sight far sight doesn't work for certain type of individuals/countries. They take advantage all the way.

He is well within his right to pursue legal actions. As is Aleem Dar. The fact of the matter is Srinivasan has shown he's petty beyond belief. I suspect Kamal's righteous action will be used to justify even more poor relative treatment towards Bangladesh by the Big Three.
