Default We must ensure Tamim has several male offspring! ;)

Okay, sorry if this lighthearted thread annoys or hurts others, please forgive me for making another unnecessary and silly thread.

It all started with Iqbal Khan, then Akram Khan took it on, probably played the most influential innings in our cricket history. Yes, I'm talking about his 68 against Holland in 1997 in a rainy Kualampur, when we lost 4 for 15 chasing a curtailed target of 141. Bangladesh had a rainy day that day and the whole country were praying in Juma'a prayers for a win, while listening to the radio commentary in Bangla. People say Allah accepts prayers prayed on rainy days and indeed that day he did. Akram did the improbable and lead our cricket to the world cup. The same Akram again played another vital innings of 42 against the team of another Akram, to give us a win which probably led us to having our test status.

Akram's eldest nephew Nafees then took the baton from the fat legend to play a grinder against a resurgent Zimbabwe to give us our first test series win. Sadly, Nafees was too lazy to lead us further. But then came along his younger sibling, named Tamim. This sibling is probably the most impressive cricketer of all the men from Iqbal Khan's family. Yes, he can disappoint us in some days, but along with Sakib and Mushfiq, Tamim is the one of faces who have ushered our cricket to a new horizon. Now, who's next?

Yes, to ensure the next one, we must make sure Tamim produces loads of male of offspring! Inshallah, at least one of them will turn out to be a gem and carry the baton further and probably take our cricket to the ultimate goal, being the best in world cricket.

This tread seems to invade Tamim's personal life!

We should allow him some privacy, shouldn't we?

No offence taken here. I think you think ahead, thats perfectly fine. Need to always look ahead for betterment of the future.

Not only Tamim. Wish, Mashrafee, Shakib, Mushy, have many sons and daughters who can be great sports persons for BD national teams.

Thread heading is flawed with OP logic. Rather pray for Nafees Iqbal's offspring then Tamim will be the uncle.

I'd rather have offsprings of legendary test players taking up Bangladeshi citizenship we badly need some quality test pacers.

BTW being the son of any great player doesn't mean they will be successful cricketers too. Look at sunil gavaskar and his son Rohan Gavaskar

Tamim's wife is pretty tall and healthy so we can expect the Khan family's cricketing legacy to continue

Somehow I am not liking this thread. We are bringing Tamim's wife in the conversation unnecessarily .. And the comment about sending someone's wife to Tamim
