BDFlag **Match Thread=> 3rd T20I: Bangladesh v Zimbabwe at Khulna, Jan 20, 2016, 15:00 local time (09:00 GMT) **

[Sundarbans, Khulna Division, Bangladesh ]

VERSUS

[Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe; Wildlife sighting in Hwange ]

Bangladesh, 2-0 up in the 5-match series will be looking forward to sealing the deal in this match. They will be missing key players in Mushfiqur Rahim and bowling sensation Mustafizur Rahman. The most likely replacements will be Mossadek and Abu Hider Rony.

So there will be a more youthful team, but under the watchful eyes and commandeering of skipper Mashrafe things will be in order. Not to forget the experience of Tamim, Riyad, and the IceMan Shakib.

Sabbir started the series with a bang. A big score is around the corner for him. Souyma is also heating up...He might outperform the senior Tamim at the opening slot.

Cricinfo is saying that Elton Chigumbura will return...That might strengthen their batting, if he decides to show up. They will be looking to clean up their abysmal bowling in the form of wides and no-balls.

PREVIEW by Isam: http://www.espncricinfo.com/banglade...ry/963561.html

Bangladesh Squad
Mashrafe Mortaza*, Abu Hider, Arafat Sunny, Imrul Kayes, Mahmudullah, Mohammad Shahid, Mosaddek Hossain, Muktar Ali, Nurul Hasan†, Sabbir Rahman, Shakib Al Hasan, Soumya Sarkar, Tamim Iqbal, Taskin Ahmed

Zimbabwe Squad
E Chigumbura*, CJ Chibhabha, TS Chisoro, AG Cremer, LM Jongwe, N Madziva, H Masakadza, WP Masakadza, PJ Moor, R Mutumbami†, T Muzarabani, V Sibanda, Sikandar Raza, BV Vitori, MN Waller, SC Williams

Go Tigerssss!!!!!

Tamim has a minor niggle and he might be "rested" today allowing Imrul the opportunity

Nurul
Riad
Shakib
Shabbir

Rony
Shahid/Taskin

It will be criminal to drop Sunny again. He is a really good bowler in T20s especially if the pitch helps the spinners

tbh they are thinking about the WC and sunny will be useless in pancakes of India. no argument if sunny is selected today he'll get 2 to 3 wickets with eco under 6. but that doesn't give us anything

As much as we call them flat pancakes, we need to understand that we will mostly be facing teams from outside Asia in the first round and bowlers like Al-Amin or Shahid won't do much against them I personally believe. And not all Indian wickets are flat pancakes, there is purchase for the spinners/

If Sunny find his rythm, even if he doesn't get too many wickets he can bowl a few tight overs in the middle and that will really choke the opposition given that we have Mustafizur bowling at the death.

dont know about 2nd round as we havent reach it yet but our 1st round matches are at Dharmashala and the pitch there are as flat as it can get. also the stadium itself is very small. sunny will be walking hit me in that stadium.

some of the 2nd round matches are in kolkata and if we reach 2nd round sunny might come in handy so I get your point.

Tamim sucks in t20s..the problem is the possible replacements are worse..Imrul/Anamul are even more clueless.

Dharmasala is one of the most beautiful cricket grounds in the world..hope Tigers can acclimatize to the high altitude.

On topic....I'm eager to see Abu Hider in Bangladesh colors...I've seen him in bpl matches...a perfect replacement for Mustafizur...goooooo tigersssss!!!! Roaarrrrrrr

And Sunny has walked into the t20 team by doing well in ODIs. He sucks in T20s big-time and his darts will get spanked in India someone who gives it some air and rips it abit would be a much better choice as we already 4 overs of shakibs darts..Taijul deserved a chance he was great in the BPL and his stats are great never got why he's discarded in short format could be more lethal than Sunny.

Jahurul and Taijul deserved a chance in this squad ahead of Muktar and Hom based on BPL alone let alone the stats..
