Default Pakistan may skip World T-20

http://www.dailytimes.com.pk/sport/1...play-world-t20

http://www.espncricinfo.com/icc-worl...ry/970939.html

In the event of Pakistan skipping the tournament, Bangladesh will replace Pakistan in the main draw and a new team (Namibia) will be included from qualifiers to the first round.

Ooooh the drama begins

These jokers really think the ICC are going to accommodate having their matches else where? What happens in the event that they make it to QF, semi and final

“With India being the host, Pakistan can’t say they want to play at a neutral venue. If they don’t take part, the ICC Board will decide on a replacement. Teams pulling out can also be penalised, if sponsors demand compensation,” - ICC sources.

Australia pulled out of the U-19 World Cup in progress in Bangladesh weeks before the event. Ireland were included as replacement. The ICC source disclosed the Australian board has been sent a letter that says it should be ready to part with a sum if the broadcasters complain of breach of contract.

It should be the top 3 sides via finals that go through.

Because ICC will favor full members, the same way they favor big 3.

T20 rankings are really skewed because they are not played often and it's a new format. Afghanistan is ahead of us but how many times did they beat us? They improved their rankings by playing associates while we played good teams. ICC has the brains to figure that out so I am guessing they take the t20 rankings with a grain of salt

ICC only favors big 3. Being full member or whatever don't mean much. Although it wud be nice if it did

Well then how come Bangladesh and Zimbabwe skip qualifier hosted in Ireland? They were not certainly ranked 9 and 10th .

There are minimum number of matches you have to play to qualify for the ranking process. And yes, all grains of salt lead to 10 members

If you really want to break it down, Afg had the time of their life beating Zim and we barely manged 2 wins. If you ask me, T20 is really not our format ... heck do you remember the hong kong match? Afg is probably at the same level or not too far away from us in T20 strength.

Because we weren't playing full strength the last 2 matches...we dont give a damn about useless series. don't underestimate our Boyd. We proved before and we will again that when it matters the most (tournaments), we own the associates

And were you the one who decided that these qualifiers are held based on rankings? Maybe ICC bases it on performance against top teams? Maybe they have another way to determine it that they feel like is a better indocator? Im sorry. But you clearly don't know what you are talking about

World cup should be played in a neutral venue. India is anything but neutral. This is where we come in

Hmm one has to look at what context the word "maybe" was used in.

If your "maybe"s are for denial then you know what you say.

If serious, you could take a look at what composes a qualifier place.

The top six sides from the 18-day tournament during which 51 matches will be played, will join the 10 Full Members for the ICC World Twenty20 India 2016, which will be held from 11 March to 3 April 2016.
So 10 full members are always there in the main tournament. Top 3 don't get anything except for money right now. But soon you might see them playing in the WC Semis automatically.

My point was against u saying ICC favors full members...Anyways let's not derail this thread. U have ur opinion and I have mine. Leave it at that

They are going to India to play the WorldT20. Was that even a doubt? Not in mind.
It was nothing but silly drama act by the pcb.
