Default Tamim Iqbal to miss Asia Cup 2016

Kayes comes in.

This is big loss. Tamim is in very good T20 form.

Who would you have taken in replacement?
How we start with the batting strategy now that Tamim wont be there? Etc

Your thoughts?

This is why I don't our players to go and play a no name league like PSL 7 days a week. So what's the use now? PSL has no break. Tamim is very injury prone. It was not wise decision. And some fans here wanted Mustafiz to play there?

Man. Mind boggling how Kayes gets picked. For me Shamsur Rahman still has lots to give...at t20 format he needs another chances.

I wouldnt play Kayes. I'd be tempted to play Even shabbir with Soumya at top, go with this

Soumya
Shabbir
Mushy
Mahmudullah
Shakib
Nasir
Mithun
Mortaza
Hider
Alamin
Mustafizur

How about reading the OP properly before posting? He is missing out because of the birth of his 1st child and not due to injury.

Every father is not the same though. MS Dhoni was in Aust for WC when he became father. BCCI granted him permission to visit his family for few days. MSD's response was "I am on a national duty, everything else can wait"

Best wishes to Tamim.Lets hope Kayes can replicate some of his BPL form. We need to prepare wickets with pace and bounce for the Asia Cup. Our pace bowling is our strength and not spin or batting.

This thread will be mega funny if KAyes performs well

BTW, I read on some paper that Tamim wanted to join the team for Asia cup after the birth of his child but HAthura did not approuve it.

all the best to Tamim. but with WC so close, some high intensity games in Asia cup would have done him good. He can't rely on BPL/PSL experience only for the WC. but oh well!!

Did Tamim miss the last Peshwar game because of paternity leave too, or simply rested to try the bench strength? Even if it was possible the baby was born bit earlier then schedule, is it possible to bring him in instead of mithun?

I always thought once you switch format all of a sudden the know-hows get thrown out of the window.
