Default Arafat Sunny is back

Guess almost everyone forgets or not missing Arafat Sunny In my book he is a genuine wicket taker- an unsung Hero. If you see our success stories in odi- Sunny was the key contributer who was doing his job exceedingly well. His accuracy was second to none. If we would get him in afg and eng series instead hom or m rubel i am sure our life would be much easier. He is already start impacting in BPL. Well come back Arafat Sunny .

Ps anyone saw his remodeled action?

My best memory of him is how he got AB de villers out in the first over last year. He bowls wicket to wicket with a lack of turn and he also has deliveries that skid on from time to time. Good LOI bowler. we may need his services in future especially at home.

He is just like Abdur Razzak except no leg side deliveries and has a couple of stock deliveries besides arm ball. He is a must when the likes of NZ, West Indies, South Africa, Australia come to play in Bangladesh(basically, teams that are suspect against Spin). It would be great if he can develop deliveries that has decent turn.

the way people talk down arafat sunny on BC is shameful to say the least. Very underappreciated as a bowler. Having an ODI bowling average of 25 with a eco rate of 4.33 are international quality stats.

New action looks ok, but occasional deliveries go back to old ways. For this he ll surely get into trouble.

But he was excellent yesterday. Sized up the wicket right away, kept it very accurate, varied his pace. Khulna Titans batsmen did the rest.

Arafat sunny was a quality bowler. He lacked spin which would make it easy for the better sides to play him. But against teams like Afg, Zim, Pak he is a big plus in the side.

He still flexes a little while throwing arm ball. Hard to say though if he is crossing the 15 degree limit.

I can't say whether he is at full rhythm. Lets see how he fares when the pressure is on him.

Not all his deliveries seem ok. He ll get away with it in BPL. But if he gets recalled to national team, all eyes will surely be on his action

Best spinner in shorter format atm..

We've only got 1 world class one in shakib and 2 good ones in their own format in Sunny and Taijul

You talk like we still have Rafique, Razzak and Shakib as our spinners in the team

He is a spinner who doesnt spin the ball. Tell me where you would fit Arafat? Which format? When we have the best sla we could possibly have in Shakib who also bats in the top six we do not need another SLA

Last time I checked Arafat Sunny's bowling performance in ODIs trumps that of Shakib's even.

He's a solid odi player and should play on slow pitches

Rafique didn't spin it much but he was the best spinner we've ever had

This is the same as those saying you can't succeed in tests by bowling in the low 80s

Sunny stats speak for themselves, he should definitely be in contention for ODIs in Asia... If he can perform like he has before

With us relying on all rounders for quality spin, the door is still open for Sunny to come back as a specialist spinner if he works hard.

But it's gotta be humiliating with almost no one checking in on him, and only caring about if Taskin was cleared or not.

I think Sunny can be handy in ODIs and T20s on slow pitches. But his action still has issues and I'm afraid he'll be called again if he plays an international match.

Right now we should focus on what we have and see how we can utilize Miraz by CT 2017.

why does it matter if he cant spin the ball? Since when is shakib such a big turner of the ball?

Probably the most clever spinner we have after Shakib. Always thinking, looking to outsmart batsmen.

But i dont think he ll make it in international cricket, because of his action. He ll be called up again-action definitely varies.

On the bright side both Taijul and Gazi are doing well. Apparently BCB in talks with a spin coach on a long term prospect. Name of Muralitharan there. The coach apparently will be from subcontinent.
