Default Shakib averages a miserly 25 in all major ICC tournaments

It`s no doubt shakib always pisses his pants, when playing for his country, in ICC Tournaments, a clear example of that was yesterday. Still I find it amazing that fans still back that poser. So I decided to show you guys, why he pisses his pants, and how inflated his stats are due to him minnow bashing the Zimbo`s countless times in the past. Shakib Al Hasan has only two hundreds against full member nations. With one of those hundreds against, New Zealand at home. But that is not the issue I want to address today.

So lets look at this, I have complied a total of 22 matches from all major ICC tournaments, for his sake I also included the Asia cups, to not embarrass him even further

From 2011-2015, Shakib`s ICC/Asia Cup batting scores were
30,55,16,8,32,,0,1,38,66,46,2,23,10,44,20,13,32,8, 21,50,33,2

He averages just 22 when it comes to to wearing the colours for bangladesh in major ICC trophies.

Excluding asia cups he averages just 21. This is appalling, its completely true, that if Shakib played for India, Australia or England he would struggle to make it into the side, if we don`t include those Zimbabwe and canada matches, we will truly discover that he is not a very good allrounder.

Shakib needs to be taught a lesson, that he is not invincible from the team, I say we drop him.

I am ready to get bashed by all of shakib's blind fans.

It's not only Shakib. The entire team underpeforms in ICC tourneys.

True you expect much better from Shakib. Shakib isn't an impact player. He doesn't like the big stage.

Appalling to say the least. Number 1 AR my brown a.. If he can't do anything at the major events it means not much, only doing well bilateral series's. About time, Shakib stepped up into the world stage!

Shakib is out form badly hence why you get these threads.

Shakibs never been a great batsmen, its his bowling that hes been known for but now since he is being slogged everywhere in the park his contribution to the team is pretty non existance.

I do feel sorry for him slighlty because he has been one of our star players (ipl, sussex, t20) that haa played around the world and got noticed.

Give him a break!

Knee Jerk Thread. He scored two half centuries against SL in the series prior to the Ireland matches.

Shakib's average at the ODI Asia Cup: 44.12

Shakib's average in the World Cup: 30

He's been in poor form, he's had few poor patches all his career unfortunately it's been leading up to icc tournaments, it's not like he's been in his form and underperformed in tournaments, he's gone in them with poor form

He's the best we've got – like it or not. He's very strong in subcontinent conditions, but average at best away from the subcontinent. His batting isn't that great, but he does need to tone down that strike rate a bit, and occupy the crease. His bowling has regressed for sure. He use to be one of the best spinners in the world from 08-13. Now, he's just too expensive. I don't like his attitude anymore.

This was from 2011-2016 Including all ICC/Asia Cup Tournaments, and excluding Associate sides.

So basically all test playing nations

On second thought, after looking at his stats I think OP actually gives Shakib more credit than he deserves. From purely statistical perspective he's worse than most tailenders. He can't even score against weak teams. In ICC tourneys, against West Indies he averages 4 (four) and against the Netherlands he averages 1 (one)...yes you read that right and no those are not typos. If I'm picking a batsman for my team I'd definitely take Chris Martin over Shakib any day.
