Default Who is the mad selector behind Imrul Kayes?

Why he keeps getting picked? Absolute madness.

What form? When? In (14 player each team) practice match?

Why so much trust in old players who got chance in numerous occasion and nothing really changed. We know the ceiling of older players like Imrul. And you want to recycle same(experienced) player and expect different result? How often does happen, unless the player shows that he has addressed his flaws in local league.

Why dropping young player like Mosaddek to make room for Imrul?

Not very talented. Doesn't have a base that can be improved upon. Need to invest in players like Mosaddek.

Everybody sucked today except Tamim, including fan favorites Soumya and Sabbir. But Kayes gets all the hates. So typical of BC.....

There's always gonna be a scapegoat.

The Bangladesh innings was not even over when this thread was created.

Thank you! Exactly my thoughts. In fact Imrul did better as an opener than Soumya in the recent past. Sure Soumya shows some real class at times but more often than not he plays a genuinely stupid shot to get out. Tamim can carry the top ordee for so long only.

Not just Imrul, we simply do not have a solid #2 or #3

can't agree with the replacement for Rubel. Rubel is ideal in English pitches/ICC Pitches for the shorter format of the game.

I do agree with having Nasir in the side but not at the expense of Rubel.

^Sure, we do need Rubel. But Nasir could still get a place. Too bad our selectors/coach don't see that

Yes I was also in that group rooting for imrul.. riad could be tried in that place now but I guess his chances of failure is also high. It's a high mental pressure position

Poor imrul only 2 matches and everyone wants him out. If thats the case then half the team should be dropped due to poor performances. Very easy to scapegoat one player especially when you have sabbir who is doing just as equally bad as imrul.

But nah despite this people will always have that warm fuzzy feeling inside them about sabbir that yep he will score that "big score" which is quick fired and will win the match but he has had 20 innings with not a single defining innings whereas ppl are not willing to give imrul more than 2 games at no. 3 despite him looking alot more technically better and comfortable there than sabbir was.

Even imrul's dismissals were due to uppish shots that were catches. This is more mental than anything. He doesnt look to struggle with his technique. The ball doesnt beat his bat that much. He is a solid option there. Only two games there and ppl want him out. Its sickening. Lets judge after at least 10-15 matches or so.

But people are willing to give sabbir God knows how many chances. I wouldnt want to make this a sabbir v imrul debate cos i love both players but at least be consistent. If you apply one rule of judging one player then apply that same ruling to all other players.
