Default Pakistan quietly helped Iraq in defeating IS, says Iraqi envoy

Quote:
Pakistan quietly helped Iraq in its fight against ISIS militias, which reached a major milestone this week with the liberation of Mosul from the terrorist group’s control after three years of occupation.

Talking about Pakistan’s help, the ambassador said Iraq, besides getting intelligence on terrorists, also received arms and ammunition and military medical assistance from the country.

He recalled some of the Iraqi pilots, who took part in action against the ISIS, had been trained in Pakistan.

The ambassador said the continuing intelligence cooperation between Iraq and Pakistan could help the latter deal with the expanding footprint of the ISIS in the region.

no offense but Pakistan can't get rid of terrorism in their own country and they were able to eradicate it from another country? all these hearsay and anecdotes sounds very dubious to me.

Some additional interpretation ...

intelligence on terrorists : Military training fighting terrorists? cant deny their vast experience on hosting terrorism on their own land, has it become a good business to the world now?

Arms and ammunation : Good business nonetheless.

Military medical assistance : Medicine & equipment, good business again.

Pilot trained in Pakistan : Could be a good business if not free of charge.

The ambassador living in a desert or what? 'Pakistan & its intelligence' convo can help dealing expanding terrorism?? Not sure which version of 'Pakistan & terrorism' history he is reading, he and Iraqi people should think twice before doing so.

Purchase jets from US/Russia/China

Get Avionics from France/UK/Belgium

Best combination, currently what India does.

Some of us living in a diffrent world, Indeed, and we like to be that way for ever. Unless someone start to have a dream livng in a terreropia like Pakistan. Terrorism declining to 70% is a magnificent job no doubt, while the rest 30% still cause 'Zanaza festival' in every other Friday, says the magnitude of terrorism and its many kind/form in a land, and her people got used to.

Guess what, No Franch ambassador or US senetor would visit any land and praise resilience against terrorism, unless the land entitled to terrorism, which is sad for that land but a fact needs to address. Of course it takes time to see the diffrence while people got so much used to living in that land.

I dont deny entirely above good list, however, what about other neighbors? Afghanistan, Iran and India to name a few? Why those countries are not making in the list? There must be other kind of stories to tell isnt it?

I understand you take lot of pride of Pakistan and its military, however when it comes to contribution in terrorism there come whole lot of diffrent stories that makes us living in different world. And that would remain so many more years to come I can guess.

ever heard of guerrilla war ? i think you know lit bit about it from books or internet.
pakistan is not fighting a normal guerrilla war, pakistan is fighting the guerrilla war with suicide bombers, the suicides attacks are known to unstoppable in the world.
to stop it , it needs strong and solid Intel infra on those region, just take a look at the map of tribal areas of FATA in pakistan. they are similar to afghanistan.

if US /NATO cant win the afghanistan war in 15 years and after spending $$$ millions or billions, thn, i would say 70% decline in terrorisim in 8 years something to be proud of with limited budget, sources and economic situation of pakistan.

so you want to say that they praise our resilience becoz people who are facing the terrorisim are aslo terrorist ?

sounds wierd , isnt it ?

we are facing terrorisim becoz the US invaded the afghanistan without any planning. so we got the backlash.

afghanistan -

first country in the world which didnt accept the pakistan as country becoz of the problem with pakistan since 1947 on the issue of famous Durand Line, which british empire left it without resolving it.

india -

british left without resolving many issues, kashmir, indus water treaty, siachen, resutling 2 wars and 2 battles , LOC, list is long ....

Iran -

first country in the world which accepts pakistan as country since 1947,
problem started after iranian revolution becoz of minor shia-sunni issues , not a big problem. over all good relations with pakistan.

Pakistan supplied F-6 in 80s' as friendship gesture to BAF, which gt retired in 2014

"Defence co-operation improved with Pakistan considerably under the military regimes of Ziaur Rahman and Hossain Mohammad Ershad in Bangladesh, which had grown more distant from its war ally, India. Common concerns over India's regional power have influenced strategic co-operation leading to a gift of several squadrons of refurbished Shenyang F-6 fighter aircraft from Pakistan to the Bangladesh Air Force in the late 1980s."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bangla...r_independence

"Pakistan has supplied the country with a large number of refurbished F-6s. All of the F-6s have been retired by now and a number of aircraft never saw service with the Bangladesh Air Force. The 1991 flooding resulted in writing off a number of F-6s, some of them were still crated awaiting assembly".

Pakistan also sold alot of arms and ammunition to Bangladesh army.

in the end, even if you consider pakistan a terrorist country thn, you will be alone in the world to claim it. becoz even india which is our arch enemy gve us the MFN status.

the world is not white and black, there are many grey areas, which is sometimes above our understanding. the Geopolitics isnt a simple thing.

Pakistan fighting Pakistani terrorists groups, left and right, breed, raised in Pakistan. Didnt come down from hell, didnt happen even in an overnight. Its in their sociopolitical culture, perhaps in their blood who loves conspiracy, ideology to be the top of agenda no matter killing own people. Instead of useless, hopeless argument here on BC, just help yourself and search something like 'Pakistan and terrorism' you might be able to see why people like us living in other world.

Dont try to be a troll after all. Like I said, those are way old stories, since you care so much, how did you missed that few Pakistani diplomats were deported from Dhaka because of terrorism links and their money laundering activity? That is more of recent stand from Dhaka against Pakistan if you not aware of yet.

so you can only search "pakistan and terrorism" whenever you are on google ? interesting.

keep googling, you will find more countries in coming days from south asia which have solid footprints of ISIS network.
and ISIS are like daddys of AL-Qaida and talibans.

so i just wana give those countries my best whishes against ISIS.

even pakistan dsnt have any presence of ISIS.

killing our own ? are you kidding me ? only indian can say this to me, as i have often heard from them.

as i can see, you dont use international media links becoz you are to much reliable on your LOCAL media, so i am not gonna use any media links too.

in case you forgot that we was the only country in the world who took refugee in large number till this day becoz of soviet-afghan war. even UN accepted this truth.

we have hosted afghans for generations in pakistani land. but most of there kids turned into militant, with help of Uzbek, Tajiks militants.

after US invaded afghanistan, so cold war era heroes turned into terrorist for US, and we got the backlash in return.

google yourself, APS attack, karachi airport attack, thre are many attacks, you will find mostly , Afghans, Uzbek and tajiks militant behind every attack.

google it, becoz i am not gonna spoon feed you this time.
the head of the militant group is hiding in somewhere afghanistan.

US/ANA/NATO knows it ....
do you want to know it too ? thn google yourself .....

Ask yourself and help yourself, none of any civilized society/country go out killing own people, you have it in your blood and history proves it.
why dont you enlight me about who created AL-Qaida ? Taliban ? ISIS/ISIL etc ?
becoz you are doing what every indian or bangladeshi do, blame pakistan, even if its pakistan who got the backlash of US-Afghan war, and pakistan lost innocent 70,000 lives in the name of WAR ON TERROR of US.

blaming pakistan is like saying, you are facing the terrorisim becoz you are the terrorist country. that doesnt make any sense ? does it ?

looks like you really enjoying it when pakistanis are dying in any terrorist attack conducted by forigeners afghanis.uzbek, tajiks etc.

good for you, may you find peace in this.

but let me tell you something, you got stuck in 71, as like every other bangladeshi,
but i can tell you that the whole generation of pakistan army have changed, there is no army personnel alive in current pakistan army.

and its almost same for common pakistani citizen.

you wana keep this hatered and grow old with this haterd and keep it alive and pass it into next generation thn its upto you ...

Quote:
Dont try to be a troll after all.Like I said, those are way old stories.
what an earth shattering reply ....

so you want to say that your cadets come to pakistan in cadet exchange program, till this day is trolling ?
can you tell me why they come here ? to get terrorist training or what ?
becoz in your eyes the pakistan is a terrorist state and local media/google is your source.

and in last decade your army chief visited us and we sold the anti-tank missiles and upgrades ur tanks is also a trolling ? good very good...

Quote:
since you care so much, how did you missed that few Pakistani diplomats were deported from Dhaka because of terrorism links and their money laundering activity? That is more of recent stand from Dhaka against Pakistan if you not aware of yet.

i didnt missed it, i knw about it more thn you do my friend.
i can even tell you those things that even your media or your govt cant say in public....

but we have sent back ur diplomats too.
and our govt says that your diplomats are involved in anti-pakistan activities etc etc etc ...
so whats the point of it ? its diplomatic thing, a lay man cant understand it.

as i said before, nothing is white and black in geopolitics. its all grey...

the bottom line is my friend, if you really wana declare pakistan a terrorist state, thn you have to go to the UN.

and the world doesnt revolve around ur whims ....

and one more thing, i can post on BC whatever i want,( but in the rules of BC ), you cant stop me my friend, so deal with it...
