Default 2nd Test: dead wicket or a spinning one?

Going forward to the next match we have two options, which one should we take?

1. A dead wicket:- Can ensure a boring draw and our first ever test series victory vs a strong team

2. Spinning one:- will give a result. it can be 2-0 or 1-1.

I say we make it same as the 1st test. the last two matches (Eng vs WI) and (Aus vs BD) was exciting as hell, lets not make test cricket boring again by providing a dead track. if we lose fighting and draw the series 1-1 I'll take it. 100 times better than a boring draw just to win the series

Isnt it a no brainer. Copy paste the dhaka wicket, get momin and taskin in. 2-0 should be easy peasy.

I dont think we can play out 5 days, even if the wicket is docile with nothing on it. If you see dismissals of our guys, quite a few of them are rash shots regardless of wicket or condition.

So better to go for another turning track, and target 2-0

I think the likes of Kayes+Sarkar+Nasir would not be able to make runs on any wicket. That is why I am opting for a spinning wicket as that is where our strenght is

I agree with the spinning wicket. I want that too but I think Kayes would be allright on a batting wicket. he did score 150 vs PAK on a pancake

My preference is also a spinning track. Flat track can be used only if there's forecast for a lot of rain and we do not want to deal with too much uncertainty.

Spinning track
1. Our competitive advantage is we have a better spin attack.
2. We are not good at reverse swing but they are
3. No point going for flat decks when we dont have a quality/settled top order

Our coach declared a 2-0 series win in favor of BD. So we have an obligation to do the right thing.

Do we need pacers at all in Chittagong? Drop Safiul, even Mustafiz and bring in all rounders or batsman like Mosaddek, Shanto in place. We need better fielder than those good for nothing pacers, bring in Mominul replacing any of them, keep Nasir, Imrul in team.

Why dont we play an extra spinner instead of shafiul or fizz? Oh wait two of our allrounders are off limits specialist spinners like Jubair Saqlain are ignored

you need pacers. it is very important to have a varied attack. and having specialist batsmen at #9 or #10 doesn't help really.

spinning wicket it is.

They're not good enough, jubair has gone off the boil, saqlain is a joke, worse player than hom.

Shafiul was pointless

Need to go with Roy or Taskin to provide aggression and bounce and back opponents up when spin isn't always working

I agree.

If Chittagong offers similar pitch (which I obviously prefer), what's the point of having 2 pacers (& bad fielders)? They only bowled 10% in Dhaka test.

It's better to include another spinner while Fizz can stay. This would give a break to a pair. Aussies would love to play any BD pacer any day after 1st Test.

As for op 100% same track or make England style track which was softer and more gripping

We can't go back to hoping for draws now, we must go all out

I want Mominul in place of Imrul. Nasir can be a handy spinner. Besides he scored some valuable runs in first innings.

One more thing I will say is that the wicket in Dhaka was poor. A lot of wickets were because of uneven bounce
Make a pitch with adequate turn and but no uneven bounce untill day 5

I am just glad that you are not in charge of preparing the wicket.

It helps in TEST match in BD Condition[for batting + fielding], but will not help in LOIs.
Pacers in this test merely bowled couple of overs! And fielded crap!! ... says a lot.
