Oh my dear brother Roy, the first time I hear this song in the movie, I jumped up and start dancing, it's the kind of music I grew up listening to in Guyana. It's part of our culture, Trinidad being close to Guyana, also had an influence.

Sundar Popo and Anand Yankarran are geniuses of the genre.

Unrelated, but only a few weeks ago I stumbled upon this music while I was working out a problem...It was part of an hour-long video on Youtube with inspirational soundtracks: The Last Samurai, Inception, Braveheart, The Gladiator, Interstellar, The Dark Knight Rises...

But somehow, this one touched my soul:

^^ No, I have never seen this movie. It's hard sitting down watching a movie at the present time... Maybe when I'm on holiday, I will take the time to watch it.

A lyrically dense song. I urge all of you to have a listen. This singer is the alpha and the omega.
