Combination of technique and hunger.

Ian Pont tweets quite a lot abt how bowlers can increase speed through action, landing, wrist action.

I remember someone as skinny as Ajit Agarkar could bowl in mid 140's. If you look at the current team the likes of Bumrah, Bhuvanesh, Pandya-none of them have the build of a typical fast bowler. But great action, intensity and confidence allows them to bowl at such pace.

There is a serious issue with Walsh's coaching. Not only are all the bowlers struggling when it comes to technique, tactics-they have also lost pace. Rubel, Taskin both should be bowling over 140, was shocked to see Taskin safely bowling in the 120-130 range. Fizz understandable because recuperating from injury, but now slowly he too needs to work his pace to 140, else his slower deliveries wont have the same effect.

Good height, bowling action that imitates Brett Lee, and bowls fast.

Good height doesnt mean jack for BD bowlers when they are manufactured without the thinking add on
I can imitate Brett Lee's action and it does mean jack either
bowls fast, well great, that makes Rubel the best bowler all time..

Basically another seamer that you guys can hype and fill pages of praise before he debuts and then trash after his debut.

If he can develop into a bowler with control, swing while maintaining pace over 135 consistently, I will join the parade

Would have to watch over he wickets of the match again but wasn't one of the first wickets ebadat clean bowling someone with an inswinger? If he can swing it consistently and bowl 135km+ and keep a good line and length then we are talking.

As long as the action is clean be happy, it might be exciting that he looks like Brett lee but as said that doesn't make him a world class bowler, it's the other stuff that makes him a good bowler.

Ebadat is going to be bowling again, If I get some highlights, I will post it up. As we speak Ibadat takes another wicket Andrew Balbirnie, notice these guys aren't some random Irish folk, they are in the national team.

All the Irish players play county cricket. They are all decent players.

Its an OK action. But the height and pace are what makes him special.

But we have to remember that Taskin had all those attributes too at 6'2" and 140-145 kph pace. Ibadat is 6'1" and around 140 kph.

At international level, that is sufficient, but not extraordinary. Even Bhuvenshwar is bowling at 140 these days. At the end of the day you have to get the wickets.

And no, you don't have to swing the ball to get wickets. McGrath rarely swung the ball. Rabada didn't move the ball an inch (except reverse swing) last week. But you have to have the ability to get batters out somehow someway.

Malinga is 1.7 and he has clocked 150Kph.

Players are struggling to play Ibadat, his runrate went from 3.5 to just 2.70

Not in this A side and not anymore (ECB classifying them as non locals from 2019 onwards, could be challenged in court as even UK born players like Porterfield etc are treated the same)

Thats why I'm fairly happy we've given BD a fairly respectable game here. All of our best performers actually play in our FC system, not the county game.

Frustrating that your players can no longer play county cricket but must be such an awesome feeling to know that your own system is developing quality talent.

Height doesn't signify pace

Also in test cricket Malinga was a 135-140 bowler, in odis taskin still bowls 140+

But the problem I have with him is that he looks comfortable and looks to be not trying. Compare the physique he had when he came in and now, it is a lot different. Compare the lengths he is bowling, in my opinion he bowled the best in Asia cup last April 2016. Although the sky did fall down it is time for him to really push himself again. Again, the problem I have with him is that he is missing aggression and the will to fight. I also think he got into business and modelling a bit too much for his own good and had too many distractions.

I did have a lot of role on hyping up Taskin at the start, and as one of his fans it is just sad for me to see the decline in his pace and hunger. There is a lot of things just not right with him at this moment, it shouldn't be the case of what could have been still. He still has a lot of time in his hands to make ammends, but why isn't he working on them?

Anyways, with his form in bowling in general it is hard to think he will be back into the team where it is getting so competitive. Think about the pecking order, how many bowlers can you fit in the one spot? Mashrafe and Mustafizur will be fixed till 2019. There is Rubel, Shaifuddin who is a good alrounder btw, there is also Hider, Rahi and now Ebadat. Don't forget Roy, Rabbi, Shafiul (even though he sux), Shahid and add to that other U-19 bowlers and fringe ones the list gets heavy as s***.

Bottom line is this, he needs to ramp up his pace, he needs to get stronger, he needs to bowl in good length and occasionally mix it up, he needs to bowl to his field, he needs to change pace more often, I am just wondering if I can figure out his mistakes and point them out what the hell is the head coach doing to solve them? Maybe they need me as the bloody coach!
I don't think it's a coincidence that he's gone down hill since streak left

Also isn't a coincidence that he's awful as it's most of our young bowlers with rahim there

So bowling is officially done, Ibadat eco has been in the 2.70s this is really good, hopefully he can be our ODI and Test spearhead.

I also think he was bowling fast, seems the Irish were troubled by his bowling.

I have seen how Abul Hasan career ended under Mushfiqur Rahim.

I don’t want to see the same happen with Ebadat Hossain.

Under Mushfiqur captaincy too many pacers get injured.

Take your time Ebadat. It will be a blessing in disguise if you debut under a different captain in Test.
Not worried about shorter formats. Best of luck when the time comes.
