BCB expressed interest to host Asia Cup this year again. BCCI had a meeting with the Indian Sports minister, it's unlikely they will be allowed to invite Pakistan for the cup.

Asia cup belongs to Bangladesh in terms of being the best host of it. All teams get decent support after home side.

Getting a bit boring, why not have UAE host it?

But I dont mind as long as we get the edge and if some games are hosted outside Dhaka. Get some matches at Sylhet and Khulna.

For the new 2019-2021 FTP, we will reportedly be playing India in the new Test league.

Given the 2 year cycles, my guess is WI and BD will alternate, so we will play India once every 4 years since PAK are out of the picture. Not bad. Same as before. I reckon we will be hosting vs India.

We should definitely have A-team four day matches against Afghans in January. It would help us to spot couple of new talents for our Test team before the Test matches against Lanka in February, would also help Afghans to prepare for their first official Test match(s) against Zimbabwe.

New FTP could usher in Big Four era
Quote:
India will play more than half their cricket against Australia, England and South Africa between the World Cups of 2019 and 2023 if the proposed Future Tours Programme (FTP) - agreed to in principle by the BCCI at its special general meeting (SGM) on Monday - is ratified and signed. They will play fewer Tests and more T20Is, play more of their cricket at home, and will prefer to restrict their southern-hemisphere tours to the new year.

The FTP includes no matches against Pakistan outside ICC events, a state of affairs the PCB has challenged.
