One thing I like about BPL is that every BPL has one team that surprises everyone: this year it is the Sylhet Sixers. last year was Khulna Titans the year before that was Comilla Victorians.

Agree. Couldn’t have said better.

Unlike in other leagues. Where the big hyped, powerpacked teams dominate and win more.

Hope it isn’t the case. As long as wicket stays good in sbncs and zacs then it will be good. All depends on wicket, crowds will come.

I wish the sylhet phase was a bit longer. Dhaka/Ctg gets a lot of matches anyway. Sylhet crowd was vocal and the wicket was decent. Deserved more matches.

One moment I noticed this thread had a red arrow next to it; now it has one green arrow.

I hope we get to see more crowds in Dhaka to keep the tournament alive unlike the last time when there was very small turnout and was boring to watch

Tbh, if their openers fail, they will have a tough time winning anything....

Next year it will be much more, bigger and better. Because, more 5 star hotel option will be available as the 5star hotel resort Grand Sylhet which is near Sylhet International Airport and the Sylhet International cricket stadium, about 10-20min drive, has been brought by Swiss hotel chain Movenpick and they’ll be officially opening it early next year, after the remaining inside work is completed.

So it’s a great news. As Grand Sylhet 5Star hotel has been stalled for a while (it was meant to be done 2014/15. Also this move by Mövenpick, will bring in more hotel chains, business to the region.

Mufi, you posted all that history and culture of Sylhet, and forget the food and cuisine of the region.

Hmm getting kinda worried now. The local players except Abul aren’t doing good. Nasir/Sabbir aren’t championship material.

Just as I feared.
Matches in Dhaka and we are getting very low scores.
Momin yesterday said he finds Mirpur pitch the most difficult to bat.
Sylhet as a venue produced some good scores.

Trouble in the Sylheti camp? They are getting shoe sponsorships

So far SS lost 7 points, after playing 7 matches. Only CHV lost more points (9) than them atp. They are still at #3 on points table as they have played more matches than others. But once other teams even out number of matches played, Sylhet will be at risk of missing out top four spots. Mufi's kufa is well in work!

Sylhet's initial start was a fluke. They suck in all formats of the game. Have they ever won any domestic tournament?
