It's a tough ask when you grow up in a culture of "amake ektu arame thakte de" but a kick in the a** is exactly what the guys need.
Now imagine being a better man and getting the same treatment you got as a college kid from a new boss. Shakib Tamim Ryad Mushy Mash wont settle for that

I know what you are saying and that's precisely why I want Kumble. What exactly have they achieved to have a say or make demands?

If your boss asked you this what would you say? You would probably say something like i worked my *** off for this company, put in long hours, endured chronic back and neck pain, ruined my eyes staring at the computer, missed my gf's birthday etc etc and that the company was in a deep pile of poop before i joined and i have done this and that etc etc.

We went from losing to Canada, getting bullied by Kenya and a guy called Steve Tikolo to beating Australia in a Test match. All the wins we achieved are thanks to these guys.
Even in Champions trophy it was Shakib and Ryad. You have to look at where we were to judge progress. Are we a good team yet.. not really, but back in 2003 we sucked more than sean spicer

Wheels fell off Chacha-Seniors regime pretty fast. Perhaps this is a blessing in disguise for Bangladesh cricket for the long run. Hope BCB bums will show some urgency now to find the next coach.

Which sane person here thought this was going to work?

Without Head Coach Chacha and Senior players are expected to fill in the gap.

ChaCha is ChaCha..what leadership/technical coaching role he is supposed to play is not clear. His role as the team "peon"/Manager is the best role for him.

Mashrafee is one step towards his retirement. Its a matter of when... not if.

Sakib with all his money, fame and stat is not a reliable long term solution with added responsibilities. When things goes bad, he will again ask fora break.

They are phasing out with Mushfiq, they are not going to bring him back in near future in leadership role.

Riyad is a good leader. But so far failed to establish himself as a "must have" player. Giving long term leadership role will further deteriorate his own performance as a player.... will turn into deadwood captain.

This Hodge Podge tag team solution will never work... not in near term... definitely not in long term. Even in short term, its falling apart.

There are reasons why a proper team has separation of duties and individuals assigned to particular role. That adds clear transparency and accountability. When a person fails to perform his role, you can identify the guilty party and can replace him without impacting other performing areas of the team

That's why you need a) Selection team (solely responsible for the team selection), b) head coach, c) technical specialized coaches, d) team manager, e) team Captain and Vice Captain, f) individual players.

These roles are well defined. These roles also play check and balance.
And except for captain and vice captain (who are also players), no one (or group of people) should be assigned multiple roles.

Hodge-Podge Tag team (instead of assigning one person to play a role) is actually much more confusing and guaranteed to fail. For example you are giving multiple people to play head coach role. Who you are going to held them accountable if there are multiple people playing the same role? And how you will identify who is failing and how to replace him to address the issue?

This Hodge-Podge Tag team will help the laggers to hide under the rug while innocent scape goat will get all the blame publicly.

The fact that someone like Sabbir is picked over Mosaddeks tells you that there is some loopholes .

With all due respect, out senior contingent are biased and lacks intelligence, almost all of them. I don't understand the exlusion of Mosaddek to accomodate a cricketer who averages 25/26 in ODI/Test in a match where his selection can prove to be decisive. He has already made a mark by dropping a simple catch.

Just a suspicion - perhaps it's the Sylhet connection that's pulling strings behind all those erratic choices?

Nasir (ODI) and Sabbir (ODI, Test) vs Mosaddek
Abul vs Rony
Kamrul vs Roy

Nasir, Sabbir, Abul, Kamrul all seem to have been inexplicably favored over their competitors. All of them have played for Sylhet Sixers in the last BPL, team that's owned by his excellency Abul Mal Abdul Muhit.

Two coaches @BCBtigers had interviewed Richard Pybus and Phil Simmons is now employed by @westindies and @ACBofficials respectively. What kind of a coach would you like to see for the Tigers? Local/ Foreign? Big name/Elite or does not matter? Any suggestions..

For me personally what's important is we get a coach who is strategic, able to manage our senior players well and nurture the young players. It does not have to be an elite coach. But rather someone who will be committed in giving time even in between series.

Siddons, Stuart Law and Hathura all were successful. But they were per se not elite coach before the Bangladesh assignment. So someone like them could be an ideal choice but might not have the elite flavor.

I dont think any good or proven record coach would want to take on such a difficult role where they have deal with the senior divas who mutiny against him and poor selection by BCB of players.

This might be a problem for international cricket.

Going to be become like football, whereas big name coaches will coach in franchise teams, whereas lesser coaches will only agree to coach international sides.

Matter of time before players also start prioritizing franchise cricket over international.

If BCB indeed went for Pybus, then it really means they have no hope of finding anyone better.
