Yes. and Yes and Yes.

In the SA series when the senior players revolted against the coach and we failed and some fans and reporters and players saw the opportunity to blame everything to the coach. Good or bad, the coach was smart enough to see the wind is blowing against him everywhere and took a smart but unpopular personal move to get out of the mess.

Now we are where we are. Before Haturu, during haturu and after haturu the selection team looks clueless and continue making some unplanned and hard to justify decisions. Is BCB going to address that? No.

The senior players who conspired and revolted and played against the best interest of the team were never acknowledged (their crime), addressed or disciplined by BCB. Actually now they are more powerful making influence who will be their coach and who should be fired. BCB watched and allowed this to happen and even made them more powerful by making them proxy coaches.

Why the hell will any good or proven record coach would want to take this job where it will be a loss-loss proposition? Now someone can say 'money talks' but now with all those T20 leagues, they have other better options.

Is this true that Richard Pybus will the next coach?

According to Jugantor (link), Richard Pybus will be the head coach after this Tri-Series.

Quote:
I thought he took another offer and now out of the consideration list.

If our players had problems with Hathuru, I can't wait for the ****-show that will ensue with Pybus

Decided to search up the meaning of Pybus, found some interesting results on Urbandictionary.

Our little boys need to be careful around that guy.

Subcontinent coach was in the plan - BCB said before, I remember.
Neil Fairbrother is not heard of any coaching stint with any team..... anyone knows anything...?

Perhaps Mr Papon saying April is when we get the coach means candidates are hesitant as BCB dumped 2 candidates before. Talking about April deadline might make the process a bit comfortable for all.

Neil Fairbrother: http://www.espncricinfo.com/england/...yer/12803.html

Quote:
Small, tenacious and with a good eye for the sharp single, Fairbrother derived his two Christian names from another durable left-hander - and his mother's favourite cricketer - the former Australian Test batsman Neil Harvey. Fairbrother carved out a career for himself as England's leading one-day batsman in the middle order for much of the 1990s, picking the gaps with scientific precision, dabbing the ball behind square, occasionally hitting over the top on the leg side - and running like hell. He remains a livewire in the covers for Lancashire. But a largely bottom-handed technique and a weakness outside off stump cost him a longer run in the Test side, and the highlights of Fairbrother's international career were his appearances in three World Cups. He has been the architect of several one-day triumphs at Lancashire, where he was captain in 1992, and remained one of their batting linchpins at first-class level until his retirement at the end of 2002. He became a players' agent, and counts Andrew Flintoff among his clients.
He is an agent... not coach. I could not find anything about coaching experience. I think BCB is looking for a mid level coach with solid club coaching experience (Similar to Haturu).

May be that's what our senior players wants and conveyed it to BCB. Because with so many lucrative T20 tournaments going on, he can help our superstars to get some good contracts.

Haturi was a relative unknown coach, no doubt but he was a strict one

Let us see who BCB musters

BTW what about batting coach?

I remember Neil Fairbrother. He was a big sign for Abahani in the early 90s. Him and Richard Illingworth (current umpire) played in DPL. So I think he still have some contacts with Dhaka club officials from those days.

I used to cut out newspaper scorecard for each games. Ranatunga then played Mohammedan. Lamba and Arun Lal were regulars. Then came Wasim Akram. DPL was booming back then. Pre-IPL era, I think DPL had the most foreign players. It was the most lucrative tournament after the counties in those days.
