Default The audacious Quazi Onik thread

I really liked the way he bowled today. Good start for the youngster in his BPL/Domestic career. He needs to be nurtured and identified as a possible talent. I sense that him and Hossain Ali will be good players for us. Will post all his 4 wickets very soon.

The good thing is that he is a pace bowling allrounder, which is a rare find these days. According to the interview he likes to bat like david warner and bowl like Mustafiz.

Problem with Bangladesh now is that we have too much talent. Too much influx of quality players yields to paralysis by choice. It is incredibly competitive to make it to the national squad which is probably every Bangladeshi's dream.

If you can make it to Bangladesh team, you can make it anywhere.

This actually makes it harder for selectors to make up their choice.

I wish him all the best in life.

Mods might want to change Quazi to Qazi or Kazi.

Didn't watch the game. How did he do? Is he a line and length guy? Or a variation specialist?

^^ I doubt if he is even 5'8". Top speed that I saw was 125 KPH. With his quick arm action, it will be hard for him to ramp it up.

Cricinfo says 5'7". Not tall at all and his pace low 120s to 125 like Eshen mentioned. Only 19 but I don't think there is much going on for him tbh. I'd rather focus on Hossain Ali's development.

As per his CI profile, he is not eligible for 2018 U/19 WC, as he is born before September 1998!

he has a "fizz" -ish vibe. I already loved the way he was bowling against Pakistan U-19. he bowled solid in that match.I say we fast track him to National team except he only plays T20I for now to keep him injury free.

Among the current U/19 pacers, I liked Robiul Haque better. He has a nice flowing action and a good physical built to go with it.

Check this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nDQgiPlA5ME

I havent had the chance to see any game on tv, but is there a speed gun at BPL?

Pace might be in the 130-135 range.

Watched the video. All the wickets are more of batsman playing bad shots than anything to do with his bowling. Anamul's wicket looked like it was off a half tracker. There is also another off a half volley. So jury is still out on this kid. Hopefully he has more up his sleeve than just the dance.
Action wise looks good.. bit of a busy action compared to mustafizur or Taskin but seems to be in the high 130s. His height doesnt look much which isnt ideal and at 19 not sure if he is gonna be any taller. Most importantly I would like to know if he can swing a new ball or not.

blah blah blah. And some people think Bangladesh have "too much talent". Only one test calibre pace bowler, and maybe 2 test class batsmen. Too much talent indeed.

Were you bullied in high school? Did you have a traumatic childhood experience of abuse to behave like a 3 year old kindergarten troll?

See, I can cuss mouthful at you and tear you a new a---le and still get away. Because I am in accord with my ideals and I have nothing but unconditional love and contribution for this forum.

And your legacy would be some no name l33tspeaking abused troll whose only contribution in life was just to rile people up (only to get his fellow Indian banned lol) and you will die exactly just like that:

As a NO ONE.

Dude, Talent wise there is no question. It is the System, development Infrastructure, Premature Celebrity Culture + Judgement and Application that was always the problem for Bangladesh.

Bangladesh needs Pace Bowling Academy and More Cricket Academies + Stadiums throughout the nation to fill in the holes we have right now.
