Reduce foreign quota

Teams should target better coaches

Have a longer preparation camp

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You could see the type of impact Mahela Jayawardene was having on his players. Thats what a good coach or mentor can do. Unfortunately most BPL teams dont realize that.

Hard wickets with true bounce is what we need. So that pacers get some help when they bend their back and batsman get value for their shots. What we dont want is a slow and crumbling wicket with uneven bounce.

Adding Sylhet was a right step. Next year add Khulna & Fatullah as venue.

I don't think global T20 will take off

It was supposed to make significant losses.

Also players will pick BPL over global T20 because there is assurance in BPL that global league won't be providing.

There were some quality players in global T20 draft who eventually missed out on BPL. Brendan Taylor Wahab Riaz could have all played in BPL but eventually what happened they were sitting ducks

My advice

Improve production quality and make pitches with truer bounce

You want to improve BPL, it starts with getting fans actually excited about their team. Hence my earlier thread renaming bpl teams

Payments to the Players, Umpires, Groundsmen etc. are being done on timely fashion? I know it is on "Kisti".

In order to maintain a good reputation, lets scrap this shitty BPL league, too much match fixing and spot fixing going on.

I say we outsource to overseas companies, these poor Gazi Group idiots at the helm have no idea how to produce quality content, production wise.

"The Bangladesh Premier League, that was the interesting one. The first time there were owners who'd come along. The owners weren't allowed on the ground, but there would be a team manager going to the owner and saying, 'What are we doing next', then going to the coach. The security guys were saying enough was enough. But it just kept going on. The owners were sitting there on the phone. The owners were demanding that they be in constant touch with the coach because that's why they bought the team.

"The spotters were people up in the crowd. They'd have a microphone in the cuff of their shirt, and 10 mobile phones around their waist. Anytime something happened, they'd lift their sleeve and speak into the microphone, and have time to do whatever they were doing. Security couldn't do anything except kick them out. Actually in Bangladesh they couldn't even do that."

outsource to overseas companies..

BPL stands for Bangladesh premier league

Also Gazi were much better than channel 9, their production of our international cricket is excellent, I fully expect them to improve

....

As for improving BPL

Improve pitches of Dhaka - they all need to be 160+, 160-180 produces the best matches

Improve production quality, remove the women talking to crowds, no one finds that entertaining, it's a drag

I'd like zing bails

More cities, mirpur should be reduced to a 1/4 of the matches, or at most 1/3

Keep hold of quality international players, we need more teams with the quality of Comilla, rangpur, Dhaka, then we can challenge the likes of ipl in terms of quality, we'll never match the off field size of the ipl, but the cricket played could easily be matched

More organised regulations, see Comilla vs Rangpur, should never have happened, needed reserve day from beginning for semi final and final

Regulate local batsmen, introduce a rule of atleast 2 out of first 5 being local players, or something along the lines, no one wants to see a line up where only one bd batsman is batting in top 6 foreign batsmen dominated run charts, our bowlers however did very well in wicket charts with Shakib, jayed, Saifuddin, taskin, Rony.

More build up and behind the scene access, force teams to have active youtube accounts twitter Facebook etc... I don't follow build up and behind the scenes personally, but I know many do, hype it earlier, get fans excited, show fans behind the scenes so they can build a relationship with their teams, that's something ipl does better than anyone else, have a prize for one handed catches if you're a member of something, it'll get crowds involved and excited

Let's not embarrass our selves, with a broken website. Even if we did have a website we will put a half assed effort.

Putting a half-assed effort is in our DNA, just look at our buildings, plumbing and electricity networks. ALL HALF ASSED.

Good post overall but that part made me laugh. GTV broadcasts in standard 480p/570i, I don't know where your from, but in Australia I watch Australian cricket at 4K, almost 3-4 times the resolution of 480p. GTV is still way below par Sky Sports, Star Sports, Ten cricket. Even PTV sports broadcasts in HD. Broadcasting in HD is not the only problem, frequent sound issues,FPS drops and shoddy camera work, make GTV's production far from world class.

Last to mention, Oh Yes, who can forget that overused graphic in GTV broadcasts. Its the bloody Twenty first century and we are still stuck with a graphic that looks like we are in the 80s and 90s.
