Default SA vs Zim: only test

It would be interesting to see how Zim will perform. their next assignment is in Dhaka.

Would Streak say hello to Haturi? How about our players? Facing two former coaches?

How would things unfold? Your valuable opinion is required.

Side plot. who remembers Dale Steyn's comment on saving millage for bigger teams and not playing against us? Now he will be playing against Zim? (I know Dale has a big heart but that comment still stings me.)

How good is Markham? Is he better than Elgar?

Elgar has a chance to be the highest run scorer this year.

Pujara 1140
Smith 1122
Elgar 1097
Amla 942

4 day test. Triple century out of the equation.

I heard that it is like 98 overs a day...

Will be interesting to see the runrates and over rates....A captain might get suspended due to this...Is that why Faf ain't playing or not?

So Zimbabwe will be attacking with Jarvis, Mpofu, Blessing, and captain Cremer...

For all I know, I really want Zimbabwe's pacers to perform under Streak. It will be one of the best things to happen to their cricket.

Jarvis should bring in his county cricket experience to spearhead this attack.

Aden is a very good prospect for SA but Elgar is experienced so I'd put Elgar ahead atm due to experience and form, but aides might be ready to explode onto the international scene so I'd watch out.

Interested to see how blessing goes if he debuts, zim seem to be very excited about him and Jarvis is a very good pacer so maybe they will have a test class fast bowling attack...

Smith took the top spot. I don't think SA will bat two times in this test. So Elgar missed his chance. Markham on tear. 83 notout and counting. Still didn't reach his average.

He gets to his century. Markram.

Bavuma is really quick between the wicket

Why does Markram have glimpses of Kallis in his strokeplay?

The band has been playing non-stop. Interesting. I like the shadows on the field

Cremer getting the ball to grip and turn now.

Markram is elegant: Effortly dispatches one over the bowler's head for 6.

Maybe when the light turns on the pink ball will start doing much more...I heard that it deteriorates more than the red ball.

60 over old ball should get more gripping power

Baitul Mukkaram? It's a clean, big mosque. There are a lot of electronics stores around it. and gold jewelry stores too. Also Jutar dukan + tupi+kurta Jai-namaaz-er dukan.

That was an awesome catch to get rid of an awesome Markram. He falls 1 run shy of his average at the time.

Good wicket for Jarvis and Zimbabwe

Amla and Dekoch can be good role models for our new batsmen.

There positioning based on match situations across formats mostly brings success for RSA.

For example, in this match none of them opened, Amla came at 3 and later as 7th.

This experimentation works well for RSA because of the only reason which accounts to,

responsibility what translates into perseverance.

Hope our young players will follow such variations and be prepared to switch positions based on needs.

Granted we played a 5 dayer and SA was cautious in the opening days but 309/9 only screams one thing:

Zim test pace bowling > BD test pace bowling (Streak effect. Hopefully, tri series wickets would not be pace friendly.)

Why can't it be the Zimbabweans' familiarity with the African surface?

Hunting down Amla and Co. is well orchestrated by one man. The execution was perfect. Watching "The equalizer" right now.
