What you all gon do about it now? Huh. LOL Many BCites harbor a sentiment that is same as saying: "oh I am proud to be humble".

P.S. Even if it was "fake" I am sure it'd come to use to someone somewhere down the line... or rather drain.

Some help:

Quote:
The best thing to do after you drop your phone in the toilet is immediately turn the phone off (if it is on), and dry it off with clean, dry towels. Remove the battery (if you can), SIM card, and any other external components, such as headphones. Dry off your battery as quickly as you can, too.

Yes it is up for sale in LetGo app, look for cell phones in Orange County

From the images you will be able to tell, some yellowish tinge around the surface...

Study: 1 in 6 Cell Phones Contaminated With Fecal Matter

Quote:
What’s on your smartphone? Probably fecal matter, according to new research by London scientists.

That’s right, poop — on your phone. If it’s on your phone, it’s very likely on your hands too, say researchers from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and Queen Mary, University of London.

Researchers analyzed 780 swab samples — 390 from mobile phones and 390 from the hands that used them — in 12 U.K. cities. They found that 16% of both hands and phones were contaminated with E. coli, potentially illness-causing bacteria that is fecal in origin. The likely reason: because people don’t wash their hands after using the toilet.

Two Dead, Three Injured in Attempt to Get Cellphone out of Toilet

Quote:
Two people are dead and three others were injured after a woman dropped her mobile phone into a pit toilet in China's Henan Province. The woman's husband climbed into the cesspit to retrieve the lost device, but fainted from the stench, initiating a series of rescue attempts that ended in tragedy.

The South China Morning Post reports that the husband's mother entered the pit to save him, but also instantly lost consciousness. The owner of the phone herself then entered the pit, suffering the same fate.

What do they eat in China?

Also, that pit toilet was not probably constructed. There's no channel for the gases to escape through a shute.

BK-Chan, Do you know that illness causing bacteria known as Escherichia Coli or E.coli can be treated using brains of Cockroaches ?

This is EXACTLY why you shouldn't cry wolf.

I am sorry, my OP was slightly apocryphal. But the following ain't one.

My mom's earring dropped down the drain in bathtub. It probably has a p-trap. So I went to Home Depot and the elderly gentleman was genuinely and extremely kind. He gave me a 'sarashi' that snakes in..kinda like those vendors where you gotta pluck out the teddy bear toy with bills attached..

But I tried. No luck. Also no access to the p-trap.

Bk, help?

^^ Mahmud bh, hold on. I will have to run somewher right at this minute and came to our BC to see the result of the mtach last night and saw you posted this in this thread.

just a quick thing. This is serious, I am afraid Khalamma's ear ring may be very hard to retrieve from this bath-tub drain. But, do not write it off yet. I will get back to this asap. I wish I could tell you and khalamma not to run water in the bathtub now and please do not use a snake or anything of that sort from a hardware/plumbing store. That will send the ring further down the waste pipe.

Please hang on...will be back asap

Thanks bk for your help and concern. I am afraid it'd be simply not feasible to shut down shower and everything. We ran a lot of water since then...

It's ok. It had a sentimental value to her since a senior relative gave it to her.

Dosto, It may have been a bit more successful to use a full strength flexible tube vacuum suction. Too bad, I thought of it later. If yours is a 2 story house, and the bathroom was on the second floor, we could have retrieved it with a lot better chance, still before water running and all though. It was Khalamma's ear-ring or a nose ring, right? And it had true sentimental value. I am so sorry.

In OC, you don't have have septic tank area in the yard? Maybe not, maybe all drains have direct flow connection to the city sewer?
