Two pacers minimum needed (only two available in the squad anyway). Fizz and Rabbi.

Play the youngster Naeem if possible. Something new for SL to deal with. I’d leave Taijul out.

Tamim
Kayes (no other option in the squad)
Mominul
Mushfiqur
Liton
Mahmudullah
Mossadekk
Miraz
Kamrul
Naeem
Mustafizur

If won the toss. Bat first.

replace sunza with tanbir or naeem (whoever sucks less). rest should remain the same.

food match op's can never go wrong. think the SL one looks better!

So. You want to go with one pacer? Seriously!

This is sri lanka man. Not non asian side. SL so good at spin, it’s comfortable for them. Didn’t BD play two pacers in SL in the test BD won? Didnt BD play two pacers against even aus at the test won?

Rabbi is ok option. He can reverse the ball seen it against england.

What will you win with one pacer against a spin loving cricketing nation in SL? Two pacers gives different option with the Left and right arm combo.

pacer or not, rabbi is completely useless.

but tanbir and naeem might be too.

they'll prolly pick tanbir.

they aren't gonna sit 3 spinners and select both pacers. otherwise, # of pacers and spinners would've been diff.

going for another draw is a good idea. other than that, only way we can win is if we play on a spin-friendly pitch, take SL pacers out of the game. then, it'll be herath vs our spinners and fizz's cutters.

Oh man. I sincerely hope one day ICC makes the rule 2pacer minimum for test. Doesn’t matter if it’s rank turner or road. Not a good sight for test cricket having only a pacer rest spinners. Utter bore!

there's a Bengali dish called pach mishali shabji, made with 5 vegetables. it's good, and I imagine hathmaluwa is similar.

but...red meat is my fave. whether it's beef, goat meat, or lamb.

The similarities have been discussed in the match thread for the 1st test between bengali and sinhaleze...

So Hathmulawa may have evolved out of the pacha mishali shabji...

Too much read there man...

I eat mutton, duck, and venison.

Tbh based on both these pics. SL beef curry looks better. Not sure about the tast as I’ve never tried SL beef curry, but Bengali beef curry made at home is nice, I like it.

I am really irritated by our selection policy. How is it that we aren't giving chances to domestic perfomers like Zakir, Nurul, Naeem, Tasamul, Shanto, heck Tushar Imran for that matter but instead picking someone like Sabbir Rahman and Nayeem Hasan.

Heck pick Afif Hossain and Saif Hassan, not sabbir and Nayeem

Most runs conceded by a BD bowler in an inning versus SL:

Taijul Islam, 4 for 219 in the 1st test

Sunzamul comes second with 1 for 153

Before the first test, the most runs conceded was 4 for 144 by Enamul Haque (Umpire now?) way back in 2002

We know that Herath, Dilruwan, and Lakshan will triumph on a minefield over Taijul, Miraz, and the seasoned Razzaq

Heck, this might have so many angles:

Herath v Razzaq
Diruwan v Taijul
Lakshan v Miraz

Mammaadullla was not out in both innings and his average against SL is a lacklustre 26.16

definitely wanna see Raj play this test. Its almost certain that he will be better then Sanzamul. But I would also take another seamer too in that spot.

my squad,

Tamim
Imrul
Momin
Mushy
Liton
Riyad
Mosa
Miraz
Taijul
Raj
Fizz

Wouldve liked a seamer but not Rabbi. I dont even know why and how he was selected over Roy, Rony, Jayed, Shahid.

U sure about that? I dont think razzak will add anything bowling wise. At least sanzamul looked like a decent bat at the tail

100% sure. Sunzamul doesn't have a good arm delivery neither does he turn the ball a long way. He flights it well.. that's about it. Raj on the other hand has a good arm delivery and it can be effective in dead conditions.
And we need the bowlers to deliver with the bowl first. Where batting is concerned... If miraz who was known as an allrounder can't deliver...then it's hardly an issue if raj doesn't

Razzak havent delivered anything with the ball. What makes you think he will be any better this time?

Again I agree sunzamul didnt give any indications to keep him but you have to consider that was a dead pitch. Even herath struggled. I dont agree with replacing sunzamul with razzak. I will even take tanbir the great haidar and try him out over razzak in test matches
