Dont think thats rumor and fabricated news. Have seen several videos where girls are complaining that they have been sexually abused and 4 girls were raped.

What a douche Shakib was in that facebook video yesterday. Obviously he was instructed by our 'mother of humanity' prime minister to appeal to the students to leave the streets. It seriously backfired.

I am sure Mashrafee was asked to do the same but he refused.

Difference between an idiot and a leader.

Ilyas Kanchan trying to put that crocked shameless laughing hyena Minsiter in his place.

Illyas has been advocating safer roads since 90s as his wife died and he nearly died.

Shakib took off his post after being murdered by criticism. As time goes on, Shakib becomes less likeable as a human being IMO.

Shakib al Hasan is showing his true (low) class!
Whatever your true self is, it shall eventually be unmasked! It always does.

Shakib initially looked like a decent and humble guy. Seems like he is another victim to stardom.

I just saw the clip, thank you, Adam bhaiya.
Kanchan's approach, his voice in this matter, the good things he has been doing across the country and how he handled that low life of a so called 'minister' are absolutely admirable.

That's exactly what I meant. When people are 'empty' inside, there is no morale, no conscience, no empathy (which will prevent the growth of compassion in one's self) to begin with - and with that massive void inside, one day, all of sudden someone gets hold of a lot of money or power, they act like a headless fly over sh!t!
I am not ashamed to say this - very sadly, unfortunately, I have seen it in my very 'own' family.

Yes we all know BCL are angels, anyone mentioning anything to the contrary is showing "hujuge" mentality ....

Where exactly I have mentioned anything good about BCL? I have mentioned a specific incident as rumor. Nothing else. Pardon me for not believing everything thats gets posted in world's least trusted platform.

Not commenting on incidents but I agree with ahnaf. Whatever facebook newsfeed comes via share by your friends, one should be wary of and put their critical thinking cap on instead of blindly just going with the flow. Very important specially on active protests.

Try to answer Why? instead of what?

Bangladesh’s leaders since Ershad have been a dictatorship. Only difference is Hasina the most ruthless of them all

Correct observation. RUTHLESS is the only word that can describe Hasina's second and third terms.

It's like people have been brainwashed. Apparently whole media is now working with govt. to suppress these incidents. Everyone except our brave social media detectives are corrupted. There is not a single good creditable newspaper/reporter left in the country.

Disgusting. I browsed through 4 Bangladeshi news channels for the past 2 days. None of it covering the actual protests by students (whereas BBC and SBS did). Govt. has asked News Channels not to broadcast any protests AFAIK.

Govt sent out text messages early this morning claiming rape, killing and eye gouging allegations were rumors despite multiple graphic images being shared around FB, of a corpse, injured students bleeding, a school kid with his eyes gauged out... Police and Chatro League thugs beating up students. And today RAB arrested a few kids for spreading these "rumors".

I know it is bad right now, but we need to be brave and keep moving forward. The whole world is watching now.

And some people calling shakib “douchebag” and he’s saying his true colors. lol how ironic. He has done more for the country than all in this forum combined. It is very easy to sit behind a keyboard and call people names and critiize anyone. I won’t comment on hasina and bcl as im not in Dhaka. I only saw what’s being reported in news.

I know few will come at me and take offense. But I don’t care. They will call me names and douchebags and accuse me of showing my own true colors. So be it.

Would love to see the face of my neighbour, who is the president of the Australian Bangladesh Chhatra league here in Sydney.

@mufi_02

Shahadat Hossain took the first ODI hattrick for his country but sure, he was also a child abuser. He would have been jailed in the US or Australia. But.. but he's done a lot for his country, let's not call him names or criticize his actions OK.

Let's simply not care about these incidents.

A more logical thing would be to not comment on any senstive political issues.
