Coach Owen Matau and his tail-enders
Wasn't coach Owen Matau ( hope, its the write spelling ) brought in specifically to look after the tail enders batting ? I recall, he had many practice sessions with our low order batsmen to improve their batting, and what rich dividends we got in return! Thanks Coach Owen M! What impressed me the most, apart from rafiq and pilots obvious tons, were the tenacity shown by Tapash and Tareq, to defy the odds, play with grit to support their mates
so that they could fullfill their innings and help the team along the way. Great job. I think coaching played a big part here as well .

Next, he should spend some time with the top and middle order batsmen.

Yes, yes. He made a formidable tailenders (isn't time we use a new term?) for us. When 7 wickets down for WI meant virtually end of the innings, it was just the begining for the tigers! Way to go.

My best friend is a Sri Lankan and to tell you honestly he has always been a very enthusiastic Bangladeshi cricket supporter even when we were suffering humilliating defeats! He always tells me how Sri Lanka started just like Bangladesh and slowly worked their way up to become world champions. Unlike India/Pakistan they are a lot more supportive towards our cricket. Let's hope that one day with our friends' help and our own efforts we will become the best team in the world. GO TIGERS!!
