SHISH AHMED,

Please do not use all capital letters. I'd appreciate if you please edit the above post to remove all caps. Thank you.

Except the caps in Roshan Mahanama

Malinga is not a chucker...his arm does not straighten or bend at all in his action

How about shoib aktar for MLB: Mets could have better use of his dila than Paki! Money is good!

This mentality of denying the problems and pointing finger to others is the root of all our misery. We need to grow up and take responsibility. This is not your fifth grade cricket match...

no one is pointing fingers at others, what we don't want is one rule for BD and another rule for the rest of the teams.

By the way have you seen his action??

I don't know whether Malinga is a chucker, but the thing with him is that he delivers the ball from in front of the umpire's shirt. this is okay for test matches, but in ODI matches, the color of the ball and the umpire's shirt matches, and this causes problems for the batsmen. i guess batsmen have the right to complain if they see the ball late.

Bowling action of Malinga is totally unique; none of the present pacers action will match with his. His arm rotate to the vertically thus he releases the ball in front of Umpires chest height, due the same color of shirt and ball batsman could not see the ball at time of releasing. (As Mr. Asif mentioned above.)

And this positively bothered Bd batsman yesterday. Now the question is instead of high arm action up to what extent bowler could rotate his arm vertically. I think as this is very first instant, time will be needed to pointing out this matter in proper forum.

Malinga is not a chucker, his arm his straight at the moment of release. He uses the slinging arm action like Fidel Edwards and I think both of them have legal actions..

I watched a fair amount of Malinga bowling in the recent Australia/Sri Lanka tests, and I dont think he's a chucker.

His arm is straight at the moment of release
Apperantly there is a misunderstanding about this comment and chucking.

In the absense of an anatomical or functional defect, normal arm is straight at the moment of delivery at the following three conditions:

Legal (normal) bowling
Chucking
Throwing

As an example, just try throwing a paper-ball to a waste busket across the room. Is the arm straight at the moment of throw?

The quoted comment is non-discriminatory and neither support nor reject any claim of chucking.

To prove chucking, bending followed by extending the elbow joint at the "delivery stride" must be demonstrated.

Why are we soo concerned about if Malinga chucks? Its more like as though trying hard to conceal ones own weaknesses by discovering others fault. We should better concentrate more on why our batsmen have allowed themselves to be a bully of Malinga in the first run.

We donít have to worry about it. If he is a chucker he should have been reported in Australia. Australians are the first to comment on anything which is different.

Actually at the exact moment of release (when the ball leaves your hand) in the case of throwing is some time before your arm is straight. You would not get any force behind the ball if your arm was straight at the moment of release. Try it out

Right. That's why I said "across the room". If the distance is close you can actually throw with bent elbow. Go for a distance and you are on. Cheers.
