More Problems.....for BD
I just heard in the channel I news that Javed Omar may miss the whole tournament due to hamstring injury .
According to John Gloster Javed omar will definitely miss the next 2 matches ...and last match is in doubt.
Another problem is that Match Referee Roshan Mohanama has told Khaled Masud to use small wicketkeeping gloves.
He was using big gloves in the previous two matches.
Bd team management is thinking of giving Manzarul Rana a chance as opener.

That was expected - seeing the way he pulled up that looked like a possible tear. We are having a lot of bad luck with opener injuries. Any chance of flying in a replacement - is Shahriar still injured?
Wonder if Bashar will promote himself to open or bring in more untested openers - Rana/Faisal?

i think this will be a good opportunity for rana. with javed and razzaq out of the team, he will probably be required to open the batting as well as play an active role in the bowling department. faisal, in that case, might be brought in as an extra batsman in razzaq's place, since rana will already be playing the role of the latter with the ball.
so i am looking at this as a great chance for rana to establish himself as an ODI opener and confirm his position in the team.

Rana should fill in for Razzak and open with Ash. Faisal should be good for Gullu.
Now, where do we get the replacement for the glove pair? The company should be sued for making gloves beyond specification.
Being oppressed by the Aussies for so long, the Lankans are trying to play the big daddy here, I guess.

Surprised to hear the issue of gloves of Khaled Masud. The gloves are made by the standard companies ( Masud didn't make it ). This is the first time I am hearing this type of complain.
