South Africa captain Graeme Smith said the team were performing well below their best at the moment.
After losing in the second one-day international Smith said: "At the moment, as an all round team, we would be lucky if we were called club cricketers."
"The intensity is there now but we are letting ourselves down in crucial phases of the game with stupid mistakes, either in the bowling or the batting."

Let's get them in England.

this could be your dream team but i can garantee u that u'll not see this team playing. tapash, nazmul, aziz... not at the same time. probably chacha or mushfiq will replace aziz.

The team looks pretty good..As AgentSmith mentioned though there will be a change or two..As far as I'm concerned, Khaled Mahmud will definitely make the final eleven and there is a pretty good chance of him leading the team...I think it'll be good for the side as he has shown before in Pakistan that hez quite a decent leader..As for the rest of the side..it looks perfect..Great to see u put Ash at number three even though he did quite well at the opening slot in the Asia Cup..JO will have to bat through out the innings and hold one end up...If that happens & the other batters show a bit of guts...Then I feel We'll give the Demoralized West Indians a heck of a run for their money..Take care ppl...

Nafis and Ashraful should change their position, If you allow me to say.
Rest of the team is nice to me. What would happened to this dream team, when Bashar comes back?

Ha ha ha, let me put it this way, if the dream team performs well, Bashar might find it real hard to make the sqeeze in the ODI team. On the other hand, .. lets not talk about it now.

I agree with poorfan, ash should open. Nafis at #3. Ash is doing good at opening. Lets keep him there. As a newcomer, Nafis shoudn't be put into the fire directly from the word go

The reason why I like to see them in the oppening slots is simple. Nafees & Gullu most if not all of their international matches played in that position while Ash has the luxury of playing in many.
Eventually, I think Ash and Nafees would be our dream openers though.

It's a good point, though I thought Nafis may perform good in 3rd position with less pressure,
if Javed and Ash can make a good open.

Although Ash has made one good innings opening i still feel he's better down the order and if you have Javed and Nafis (two specialist openers) there's no need to keep Ash there
Javed
Nafis
Ash
*Rajin
Aftab/Alok
Rana
Mahmud
+Pilot
Rafique
Tapash
Nazmul

well, when you come to think about it, it's not a bad idea to play ash at 5...if the top order can give us a good start, he'll come in handy later in the inning with his hard hitting abilities...
i'd like to see chinaman's team play, although our selectors will probably think otherwise.

I don't know y a lot of ppl want mahmud in the team. I feel mushfiq is a much better option under english conditions
i think mushfiq and mahmud should switch between matches for all those who r mahmud fans. I feel mahmud's days r over as a bowler. he looks like he is dying out there wen he bowls and still his bowl does'nt carry to teh the keeper.i would like to use mushfiq nazmul nad tapash all togethr and rafiq and rana could be the spin options. along with ash and rajin as a part timers. as for batting i think mushfiq is much better than mahmud. My dream tem would be:
Gullu
Nafees
Ash
Rajin (C)
Aftab
Rana
Masud (VC)
Mushfiq
Rafiq
Tapash
Nazmul
I would like to try omar as vice captain as the nxt senior player if masud is not possible.

I concur. Its quite funny watching him huff and puff his way to the crease and release his gentle dibbly dobblies.
