why bangladeshi batsmen are scared?
why are they scared? we are the nation of fighters. we are the only nation who faught for their mother tongue. No one can tell that Bangladeshi ae not brave. then why our cricketrs are not brave? Why wasim akram said that "bangladeshi bantsmen should play in front foot. its only a cricket ball, its not going to kill you if the ball hits you"
I think I have the answer for that. Our domestic cricket is knocking on the door, and our so called tigers are saving their fitness to play the domestic league so that they can earn more money. They dont want to get injured now. THEY ARE MORE INTERESTED TO PLAY FOR THE CLUBS THAN TO PLAY FOR THE COUNRTY. SHAME ON YOU!!

They fought for independence but do they know how to preserve it? so don't give that example of fighting ....from top to bottom BD is corrupted and so do we(besides few good ppl) their mentality is like that...just play cricket who cares to improve as long as they can ticket to go to foreign countries and shop there.

Actually, that corruption rating has a lot to do with our wanting to sell natural gas to multi-national companies. We will be off those lists as soon as we say "Yes" to selling gas. Our world is run by others man.

in reality we may not be top ranked.. but yet very near to the top rank already for long past!..
and why always blame the outsiders??
It's us bangladeshis who built ourselves in this way.. to be run by others man!
spineless politicians,policy-makers and leaders all thru most of our history!!

bangladesh isn't really a nation of fighters...you see bengalis are at heart a gentle people. my theory is that our natural environment which is so gentle has over millenia caused us to be inherently mild-mannered. look at the middle east, why are they so rough and tough? because they have for hundreds of generations lived in an environment that didn't give them an inch.
bangladesh fought for nine months to achieve independence. just nine months!!! americans fought for 7 or 8 years, palestinians have been fighting for 50+ and will fight for another 50 years, the chechens have been fighting since the inception of the soviet union, kashmiris for over 50 years, kurds for 100 years or so. get the point? we fought for nine months, all those other ethnic groups would have schooled us in guerilla warfare. moreover, we had a regional superpower fight most of our battle for us. we aren't really a nation of fighters. we are a nation of currupt idiot government officials, incompetent prime ministers, and power hungry political groups.
our batsmen aren't cowards, rather they are brave for playing against the opponents they face. but they do not have the genetic or environmental conditioning neccessary to survive. until they, like mohammad ashraful and nafis iqbal, realize that they can play cricket, they will continue to be the laughingstock of test nations.
