Default Shame Shame ...

I am really tired of following the BD cricket team who are the worst test players of all time! I am really seeking some advice to get rid off following these loosers ... today I woke up at 4am ....

I know our players will talk lot of good things they achieved from this 138 run loss. Someone should let them know personally how big loosers they are!

To score 86 we don't need to pay 100,000 US$ per annum for a so called "High Profile Coach". There must be something wrong with Faruq & Co. as well. If you have named a specialist opener (Nafees) in the team then why you must leave him out for trying to establish someone else (Aftab) as a make-shift opener? Why at this crisis moment when the confidence level of all our batsmen is at the lowest ebb? Experimenting is worth doing when everything is going smoothly and it's needed to have some extra stroke or two. Isn't it????

We have to wait another 3/4 year before seeing the opponent get out with such a reasonable score. What a miss .... our batters do not even score some runs by chance! They are becoming some constants!!

I feel really sorry for the guys who woke up early or watched to late morning.
In fact you may not have a good sleep for a while after this kind of mass.
We are so poor and still have to be poor, don't know for how long.

I think we deserve an explanation from the coach about aftab open thing, as well as drop of Nafees.

As for me, I grew up watching India lose pretty much every match to Pakistan. I got used to it and defeats don't hurt me any more

Playing Aftab over Nafees is a minor fault compare to the performance of the loosers over the years. Just check how many ODIs have played the bunch of players ... on an average each of the player of today's team played 38 ODI. If someone does not figure out to bat in 38 matches I doubt he will ever learn. Just time wasting.

India used to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory while playing against Pakistan. It used to be painful but atleast the margin of defeat used to be close. I think most Indian fans have got used to defeat against Pakistan and it does not hurt any more.

It may be minor but it also shows the cosistent inconsistency in (1) selection policy (2) team formation (3) strategy. All players played a lot of ODIs that's true but just imagine how many of them got a permanent batting slot? First it was Rana, then Ash, then Kapali, now Aftab.......what the hell is our strategy? Now I can guess the next step.........drop Aftab and bring back Nafees. Does anybody care about the confidence-destruction of Aftab? Was he a opener? To me, we should've dropped Rajin instead and let Aftab play in his place while Nafees opens. Now, without having any domestic cricket going on at the moment it'd be difficult to choose alternatives. I don't believe players like Rokon, Opee, Durjoy, Bidyut should've been thrown away and forgotten so prematurely. Next series with India is only 30 days away, and much more humiliation is already looming.

Nobody will offer a PERMANENT batting position? They have to earn it by their performance. So far none of them earned any position between 1-6.

Rokon, Opee, Durjoy, Bidyut should've been thrown away and forgotten so prematurely.
Except Biddut others are no different than these bunch ... actually the show first how to play test cricket . Biddut has other limitaions but still he can score more runs than the current players.

Batting order for 3rd ODI

Shariar Nafees
Ash
Aftab
Bashar
Shamsur Rahman
Dav Whatmore
The rest from today

Dav Whatmore should be sacked. Get the U19s coach up to coach them.

....That's ridiculous! You can't choose a bunch of batsmen and thrust them into some unaccustomed postions and tell them to earn a permanent place. A batsman is groomed from his childhood while playing in a position. You can't place a middle-order batsman right away into the opening slot. My point is that choose a set of batsmen according to places where they're required. For eaxmple, we're lacking an opener, so it's better to try Nafees instead of trying a middle-order batsman Aftab in the slot, or even others. Imagine Sumon was even tried as opener, what for? If at least some batsmen are set in their favored positions, then you can encourage some experiments. But this "Think Tank" is always tinkering....in each match. That's not a sound policy. As an emerging cricketing nation you should stick to the basic..........go for specialist men for specialist slots. We're experimenting too much. We're going out with 5 specialist bowlers and experimenting again with the opening slot? Is that consistent planning? That's suicide...........if you pick somebody then you've to have some fixed slot for him, at least for some matches. Let him show his potential and build the confidence. And then go for experiment. Aftab played as 1 down, but in U-19 team. So, in a test team he should've given him some time to settle down as a middle order and then we could go for experimenting. I can tell you this "Think Tank" is wasting Aftab's talent, like the way they destroyed a seetled middle-order Ashraful.

Regarding Durjoy and others, if they're not worse than the current bunch then why shouldn't they get a recall? If out and out a failure Kapali can have so much favor why not the old bunch? After all, Durjoy, Rokon, Sanwar, Opee are not that old to be thrown away permanently. We do have some wonderful memory of Opee's century, Rokon's strokeplay.

I thought it was a very good selection by the selectors until i saw Aftab openning. Last few series, Ash & JO was openning and they were doing good (at least 1 at a time). I thought Aftab was picked in place Alok who is our No. 6 batsmen. Personally i'd have chosen Nafees & Aftab both and have Nefees & JO play. We need an extra batsmen. When team like India is going for 6/7 batsmen then I have no clue why the think tankers are going the other way. Then have Rajin going as a 1st down? why? Well may be because the wk fell too early and wanted to save Bashar. That is also a weird choice..saving Bashar???? he shud be our savior.

Anyway, I am also Sick & Tired of watching BD play like loosers. Like everybody I need answers from the Selectors/Coach. and STOP WAITING TILL LAST MINUTE TO COME UP WITH THE FINAL ELEVEN.

Does it really matter if we had an extra batsmen ? And does it matter if Nafis played instead of Aftab ? The report I read said something along the lines of batsmen coming in with an.....aggressive mindset ? And then going BAM from the very first ball !

Would their coming in at a different position help either, given the above. My thought is No.

the under-19 players are our futures. so we shouldnt bring them to the national team just yet. for them we need regular u-19 and bd a-team tour. as well as good domestic cricket. inshallah some day guys like shariar nafees shamsur rahman aftab ahmed nafiz iqbal are gonna lead our cricket team to great victory. but for now we have to live with these guys. unfortunately.
