Default Bangladesh vs. India

Against NZ, I don't hope anymore. It is understandable that our top players aren't playing so thats why they are doing bad. I mean we performed well before right? So, against India, will we have enough firepower? I mean which players are coming back? Also, will they able to play right?

Only Bashar is missing. Other than that we have the same side. Not having top players isn't a good excuse for this failure. I don't think you can count Masri's absence. He has been gone for a long time now. To be realistic, we are up for another humiliation against India unless our players improve drastically.

I disagree carte blanche bro. I think if we can get back bashar, masri and others, we will do well against India, Insh Allah.

ok, when bashar is coming back? We just can't play without him. He is one of the heros of our team.

Well Bashar will certainly be back for that series. But Mashrafee wont do anything if the curators produce pitches like they did for the NZ series. Indians have Harbhajan and Kumble plus Pathan and Khan. So its look out bangladesh. My suggestion is a green top so Mashrafe and Tapash can try their hardest. But then Pathan and Khan will kill us. 2 left armers. ahhhhhhhhh im scared of this series.

Well, I have been waiting a long time for our team to reach full strength. I am hoping India series will get our team in the right condition for the ensuing Zimbabwe series.

This would be the test team of my dreams against India (i know we do this every time but hey I need to take my mind off from what is going on!):

Javed Omar
Nafis Iqbal
Habibul Bashar
Rajin Saleh
Aftab Ahmed
Md. Ashraful
Khaled Masud
Mohammad Rafique
Manjarul Islam Rana
Mashrafe bin Murtoza
Shahadat Hossain Rajib

The prospective bowling attack in particular is very exciting. We may actually go into a test with 4 bowlers all capable of taking wickets and hustling the batsmen. Considering the famous batting strength of the Indians, we better have more than one or two strike bowlers. Or else we will be rolled over in no time. I would have ideally liked the batting department to have the services of a 7th specialist batsmen. But 6 specialist batsmen with Masud, Rafique and Rana to come down the order doesn't look too bad.

It all looks good on paper, but lets see. Mashrafee will be coming off from a long break (down side- may need time to get his rhythm back, upside- fresh limbs), and Rajib will be making his debut (if he is given a shot!) so will be short on experience.

Rajib wont get a shot Tapash will be there. Hopefully the selectors think like you pompous, but they obviously dont because they are dense. They wont have Rana there cos of this.

I like your selection pompous. But u didn't mention about Abdul Razzak, why? I think he shows promise and I thought he was cleared. And who is rajib? If u say rajin then why not? I can see that in future rajin can be a fierce cricketer. And why bacause he can be very dependable.

shahadat hossain Rajib NOT to be confused with Rajin Saleh. Rajib is an U19 pacer and arguably the fastest bowler in the country, faster than Masri even!

I hope he is faster than masri. We need very fast bowlers. I love fast bowlers. By the way how speedy is this Rajib? By the way, u didn't say anything about Abdur Rajjak.

Abdur razzak is yet to get a green light for playing the ODIs. I would wait to see if his remodelled action has preserved his previous effectiveness before considering him for test selection.

I like the idea of bourny3 about producing green tops...Our batters won't score runs anywayz...So atleast we can give their batters a decent run for their money....Rememeber wot happened to their batting line up last year against the midiocre seamers of New Zealand when they had to play on green tops ?...

Default A touch of Reality!

Carte is not totally wrong.
Not much of hope vs. india with this level of team spirit and disorientation...

I dont expect any massive improvement so early.. Maybe India is suffering too at the moment.. but u know.. every team comes back to stupendous form during playing anything against BD!!!

I hope you are joking vv_sunil. Having kapali in the team is worse than playing with 10 men. I agree with Pompy's team.

it is not the matter of joking.. he will find a place in the team there also with kind grace of selectors. so nobody can ignore him

So do you want Kapali in the team? Or, are you just stating the fact that he will probably retain his spot given the selectors' unending faith in him?

ok, I'm not getting something. Alok fails to perform match after match, and for which actually we lose, and he get chance the very next match. On the other hand, Rana gets more than one wicket and runs considerably well than anybody in the team, gets dropped from the team the very next match, I really don't get the direction of the thinking of bd team selectors. Is there any kind of internal politics going on? Isn't my example obvious to you guys. We got to speak up.

My 5 Strategy for Indian series:

1. Make Spinner Friendly Pitch
2. Batting Practice only against Spinners loaded with close fielders
3. Load the team with spinners.
4. Arrange special prayer every Friday so that Harbhajan and Kumble miss the series. ( Injury, miss the flight, dont want to play us, or make up your own)
5. Dont select player with the first name starts with either A or H unless it is Aftab or Habibul.
