So, this is the team we will be fielding today according to Prothom-Alo :
1.Javed Omar
2. Nafis Iqbal
3. Habibul Bashar
4. Mohammed Ashraful
5. Aftab Ahmed
6. Khaled Mashud
7. Manzarul Rana
8. Mohammad Rafiq
9. Mashrafee Mortaza
10. Talha Jubair
11. Nazmul Hossain.
Talha got the clearance to play from the physio. Tapash will play if fit. He is having back trouble. We should sit him then. Bowling looks to be quite strong. Batting line-up on paper is brittle and only have five batsmen. Aftab and Nazmul instead of Rajin and Mushfiq should be a plus.

If we win the toss; bat or bowl?
I'd say we bowl first. Most likely, the will make a huge score. But I'd like to see our pacers given a chance. It will also be a huge show of confidence on our pacers.
The probability of a top order collapse is extremely close to 1. Regardless of whether we bat first or second.

If we bowl first ... it will take about 150 overs to finish Indian innings .... Don't you think our players will be then too tired to walk to the crease!

Yes, his batting will be missed. He was an able counterpart to Masri as well.
Maybe they will score 600. I'd rather see that than 40/5 in the first session.

I thought Mashrafee was being rested. What happened? Good news though if he's playing. Go Tigers!

Don't worry Mashrafee will be rested one way or other. Bangldeshi bowler will ball only one innings anyway.

Mashrafee will get his rest anyway cause now you have 3 genuine pacers. I just hope the fielders take their catches.

either taposh or masrafee will play. as much as i wanna see masrafee play i think he needs rest. bangladesh should use masrafee for 1 test and 2 odi. bc our main challenge is coming against zimbabwe. so we need him. talha will play this match. so lets see what happens. bowling isnt the problem its our so call batsman that is the problem.

I hope to see us bowling first and would not want them to give away flurry of runs in the form of boundaries.
we want to limit india to 230/250 for the first day.

4+ days is really possible. Here how we can achieve that:
BD 1st Innings: 0.75 Days
India 1st Innings: 1.75 Days
BD 2nd Innings: 0.75 Days
Series Ending Ceremony: 0.50 Days
Celebrating Tendulkar's Recode breaking century with Champagne: 0.50 Days
That makes 4.25 Days taking us to the 5th day. Not bad at all!!

Does anyone know the event name for the 2nd test webcast at http://www.sgstream.com/StreamSrv/user/searchpkg.asp? I tried "chittagong", but no luck. Or, am I trying too early?

counting minutes...are we gona do bowling or batting ...no matter what I believe our bowlers are the only assest and so does fielding for this test...
It's not possible to change the batsmen..they will do the same..
Can anybody answere cricinfo title for todays edition...they never help us but they are good at criticizing us...they even stopped playing us in Rojni trophy

May be, just may be, we will not be 50/5 in this test. I like the session by session strategy for us, even though it might mean dull cricket. We need to survive first and then be flambouyant. No one will remember our scoring rate per over so long as we get thrashed in the end. On the other hand a disciplined performance that takes us to the 5th day is the call of the hour.

The one thing that I do not like about Faruq is he made all our batsman too defensive. Well except Bashar of course, he does not listen to anybody and he is over aggressive. I say a decent test score should be 3 run per over. You know why, if u just stay in the pitch and do not play anything, eventually pressure builds on and our players r not good enough to counter it. I hope our batsmen would not become too aggressive or too defensive. If the ball is in the slot to hit, they should go for it and vice versa. It's just a balance of shot making and defense.
More or less we survive around 80 plus overs and we should have 250 plus runs on the board. Runs put the opposition in pressure too. I hope our batsman understand it.
