National League
I was out for 11 days and now I am kind of lost on National League (4-day).
According to the Papers, Chittagong leads with 14 points and Dhaka is tied with Khulna in second position with 10 points. What happened? Did Dhaka lose? To whom?

We all have the same source - Newspapers from Bangladesh. Since there are no tables provided, it is hard to actually say what was going on from reading reports from 2 weeks.
The point system is not only based on win/lose. You get 2 points for the first inning lead. So it is hard to figure out just from the numbers. But this is what is going on now or atleast what I got so far. I hope this will get you back in the game:
1. Chittagong has an innings and 8 runs victiory over Rajshahi whereas Dhaka and Khulna did not have innings victory, rather some runs/wickets victory. Khulna has a 4 wicket victory over Barishal.
2. Dhaka and Khulna both have another game left to play. Dhaka plays Rajshahi and Khulna faces Sylhet. The game starts on Jan 13.
So, the competition is really between Dhaka and Khulna to face Chittagong on the final. Dhaka just drew with Chittagong but had the first inning lead. So Dhaka gets 2 points and are now tied with Khulna with 10 points each.
So far this is the table from top of my head - *Chittagong .......... 14 pts
*Dhaka ..................10
*Khulna..................10
*Rajshahi ...............8
*Barishal ................2
*Sylhet .................. 0
Games to be completed:
*Dhaka v Rajshahi
*Khulna v Sylhet
Date : Jan 13
Oh another thing:
The game between Dhaka and Khulna was a draw. However, Khulna got 2 points for having the first innings lead.
I think this post plus the BanglaCricket.com front page dailystar report will get you everything.

My BAD
the front page is about one day. SORRY!!
I just read back what I wrote. I was confused.. lol
You need to write down everything and figure out yourself if Dhaka lost or not. I don't think they did ... its that first innings lead in a draw game that made them fall behind. And ofcourse the one less game....

Sigh
Don't have much time to update. Been busy with other things.
Anyways - Dhaka has not lost a single match. They still look firm favorites to play in the final against Chittagong.
Khulna did pretty good for the third place. Rajshahi slipped from last year but still way ahead of the last two teams.
no one shows any interest and that reflects on the front page/newspapers. Pretty much everywhere.

league tables
is there not a single bangla or english paper in the country that prints an up to date league table? have these people never read the sports section of any other paper but their own? can they not stretch their minds just a tiny little bit and come up with some obvious new ideas or do we have to write a letter to each newspaper in the country?

even the websites suck. Cricinfo, bangladesherkhela and bdcrick... none has a points table.
Last time on Dhaka leage we decided to make our own coverage, points table. I guess its either BanglaCricket or nobody, still now.

Faki Baji
I have not updated the National league in protest of making a MOCKERY of our only FIRST CLASS by turning it into a 5 /6 game tournament with no special attention provided to it. Compare this to PURA Cup (let's forget for one moment that we are BD and they are Australia). How are we supposed to improve with no infrustructure ?
(Ps. I just used the bengali mentality - blame the system.... khek. I need to get working on the page.)
