bring back Tareq Aziz
I think he is the best diffensive batsman among bangladeshi players. His recent scores agains Zim also proves that (28* and 10*). he was 11 th batsman on first innings. his performance forced Rajin to improve his batting order, when all other batsman were falling apart, and Tareq saved his team again.
I say, bring him back to test team. He is a much better performer than talha.

Defensive batsman - that he might be. But unless you want to bring him as a specialist batsman, there is no room for him. And no, as a bowler, he is not better than Talha. Not even equals.
Talha has 14 test wickets from 7 matches, that is excellent counting most of those came from singe innings on those tests.
Tarek on the other hand played 3 tests taking only one wicket.

I am not sure how Takeq is doing it, but definitely he was one of the reason the 3 day practice match was drawn.
Only if he could open for BD. He has been consistently outperformed the openers in terms of number of balls played. Surely he has the teqnique, and he proved in West Indies. Because of his support role, Rafiq and Pilot scored century.
Somebody should pay attention to his support role, really.

I think he is a very good defensive batsman but there is no way you can give him a place in the team as talha himself is not in the team. I mean the best eleven. However its always good to see some lower order batsman performing well constantly. No doubt.

I hope Tareq Aziz prospers in the local leagues.
I for one do not want to see him anywhere near the national team. Players like him playing only show that BD still has quite a ways to go.
I would have liked to share more of my thoughts on TA, but I am afraid Chinaman will accuse me of engaging in "Personal Attacks" and vendetta and what not, and another member will again start accusing me of being a "sexist bastard."

TA has some good batting strength.. no doubt..
but his bowling is getting more and more blunt!
both Tapash & Masree r far better with thei boll and also only better than then TA with bat.. and we also got Nazmul/Talha.. with better records than TA with ball
TA has to do far far better than wht he is doing now... to get back to National Team

w can't bring back tareq aziz for batting only! we have enough batsmen in our team. we have enough pacers too. and he is no way better than the top pacers of BD. so unless he becomes a specialist batsman in near future and starts scoring 50's and 100's he shouldn't be brought back to the team.

Replace Javed with Tarek :P
Based on current form, he will score more in one innings than Javed in both innings.

I think "cracky" is just having some crack with us. Tareq Aziz needs to better his bowling stat before thinking of coming back.

I have taken more wickets in the Simulation league than Tareq Aziz has in real life.
Huh?

Something to take heart to! Really, not funny anymore. If I remember it correctly, Aziz was not out in all four innings against the Windies.
May be Owen Mattau did some magic on him.
Conversion is nothing new to us. Rafique, Ash and Kapali are the dazzling examples.
Selectors and coaches really need to pay regular visits to banglacricket.

If it was not for TA'a BATTING, BD would have LOST this practice match.
1st Innings: NOT OUT 29 126 85 5 0
2nd Innings: NOT OUT 10 67 56 1 0
1st Innings Partnership: 123 Runs
2nd Innings Partnership: 71 Runs
Avg: 39 Not Out
Can Javed Omar top that against the same bowlers?

Lets focus. Batting is real problem for BD, and I dont see any consistency among openers. I see more consistency in TA than any openers. Rana came as a bowler, but he is known more of a batsman now. And becuase of his strong determination with bats, he opened and showed success.

Ain't gonna happen.
I know your stat makes sense. But, he has a lot to prove before he is considered as a batsman.

not saying bring back and let him open. but saying he has all the quality to get there, just need to be grommed and give him chances.
I am not giving up on tareq aziz just because of his recent not so impressive bowling. ths guy helped us with first real fought test draw against WI....something nobody can deny.
