i think this yrs cricket league will be very competitive. i like the idea of selectors selecting the divisional team. eventhough chitagong (my division) is losing alot of its players but i think it will be good for the countries cricket. i also like the idea of senior players playing the role of coaches. i think this is a good idea because this will inspire the senior players to become coaches after they retire and this will also be a good experience for them.

We need coverage of these first class matches in cricinfo. Cricinfo is covering many leagues and tournaments in the test playing countries, then why not for Bangladesh National Cricket League?
Should we remind Cricinfo?????

we wont have any updates until the newspapers are out, or fwullah watches the news and posts the scores
i'm really interested in this year's national league - partly because this time the selectors are planning on a more even distribution of quality players over the six teams, partly because some of the national players are playing, and parlty because we really need to upgrade the standards of domestic cricket in order to do well in the international arena.
sending some of the test caps to the duleep trophy, imo, was a good move since these guys will play in a domestic competition that is way superior to ours.

looks like baisya is a bit out of touch. nazmul seems to be in control. masree and rana seem to be doing pretty good - carrying on the form acquired from the international arena....and damn - why does that guy tareq aziz always have to do well when nobody wants him in the team? just making life harder for us

This is what i fear and don't want to see - foreign players scoring the bulk of the runs.

he is not a foreign player. there are no foreigners in the national cricket league. farhad reza was the highest wicket taker in last years league. apparently he is good with the bat too. hope he develops into a great allrounder

Farhad Reza is foreign?! The selectors chose a foreign player? Are you sure about this?
