He comes across as a matured young man in print. I would like to see this maturity in his captancy and individual performance.

Some people cannot handle extra pressure of captaincy; some people accept the challenge in a positive way. Lest see how Ash reacts. Unless you try, you will never know where Ash’s threshold is. And this kind of tournament is good for these kinds of experiments.
Good Luck Cuptan Ash.

I dont' know how will he do as Captain. After all, Captancy is a job both on-the-field and off-the field. I'm kind of doubful...he looks kind of childish!!!

I believe this captaincy will bring good for him. He says that he is already matured, but it does not show any real maturity. I think now he will have to act with more responsibility as a captain and a player, which will make him a real “matured" in course of time.
I wish him to see as a successful captain.

ashraful has a problem, "she kajer cheye kothay beshi". remember his comments against zimbabwe bowling attack? also, after scoring that 157*, he claimed he is matured now, which he failed to show through out the zimbabwe series. i don't think he has what it takes to be a captain, atleast at this moment, but i sure would love to see him perform better as a captain and lead the team to victory in duleep trophy.

Indeed, look does not have nothing to do with captaincy. But if childish look is also somewhat relies in his attitude...thats might be a problem. But we can not tell untill we look how he does as a captain. As I said, captaincy is not just on the field, is also a job off-the-field too....you have to lead the team before, during and after the game...childlishness may be a problem in motivating the team in a common tune, again it can be a helpful thing for him. Let see how he does the job...there is doubt in my mind, but we can get a charismatic captaincy out of him too...who knows!!

Yes he seems mature but maybe he should do some mature batting now.

I am with the team at bad and good times. You guys should have had this tread before Ash was made the captain. He has been choosen and that leaves no room for debate. You are either with the team or not......Ash will be a great leader. Why? Caz he does really have the passion and will to win. He wears the color well, and he is a character who likes giving 100% on the field if he hasnt scored. Dare you guys say a thing against by boys!
