Sri Lanka hunt new coach, again whatmore?
link:
http://usa.cricinfo.com/link_to_data...17APR2005.html
from cricinfo:
Dav Whatmore, Sri Lanka's former coach and current coach of Bangladesh, is one big name that will definitely be discussed. Cricinfo understands that there has already been communication with Whatmore. However, Whatmore is also a contender for John Wright's replacement as India coach – although Greg Chappell and Tom Moody appear to be the current frontrunners for that post –and is expected to be offered an extension with Bangladesh.

Now Sri Lanka is considering Whatmore!
http://usa.cricinfo.com/link_to_data...17APR2005.html
Check the above link from Cricinfo. It just keeps getting better. I guess Whitemore is the only Anglo coach who has an proven track in the sub-continent. So whenever someone needs a coach, he becomes an automatic choice.

I dont feel Whatmore will even consider coaching The Lankans...In his last stint with them he had a lot of problems.....and wasn't he actually sacked ?.....

Everyone knows Whatmore is a good coach. He improved SL and BD. A lot of South Asian teams want him. Im just hoping he stays in BD.

Oh boy! Now Sri Lanka after Dav?
Link
Just read on Cricinfo.
"....Sri Lanka's new cricket board will turn its attention to the recruitment of a new senior team coach next week after the recent New Zealand tour brought John Dyson's 20-month stint in charge to an end...."
"....Dav Whatmore, Sri Lanka's former coach and current coach of Bangladesh, is one big name that will definitely be discussed. We should be proud of having such high profile and high demanding coach with us. If we get him for 2 more years, we should do best use of it in terms of improvement of Total Cricket in Bangladesh.

is it Dav himself or is it CricInfo that's desperate to get Dav a new job?!
