|Are You Ready Kids?|
|If he wants something, he gets it. No ifs or buts.
What if he doesn't get it this time, you might argue? "Read the first sentence" without the hint of a smile, need I say more?
"Wow, that's lucky son of a gun!" Who is this, anyway?
"You know him, I know him, in fact, everybody knows him" without the hint of a smile, need I say more?
"Wait, wait, he is not alone, there's another one, holy moly!" My lips remain far apart, comfortably.
"I just read it from the newspaper, no no, no joking!".
Wanna know what he said? Dying?
"I am only one innings away from a big hundred" the newspaper quotes him.
So am I, even my dad can say it without the hint of a smile, need I say more?
You go boy. Good luck to you. You'll need it.
They are killers, right on target, always. No, don't be ridiculous, not with guns, I hate guns.
"Alright, OK, it's the media, it's their dirty pen" may I continue?
"They did it again." "they cried afoul yestarday, and before you know it, they will cry again."
Name one? Ok, he is Simon, Simon Mann but he sure talks like Mani, the boss, you know.
"..yet to prove conclusively that they have reached Test standard" he writes without the hint of a smile.
His thought is an expanse of the Shahara. Someone please give him a ticket for tuesday. I'd give him a new pen to write which captain scores the most.
Comes again his captain.
"I need to score a few more runs and so come Tuesday" he said.
Only few more?
"If we play like we did in the practice matches we can expect to win Tests" he added.
Sure, sure, you can always expect. Even expect to beat Hayden. Expectation is good and healthy, they say.
I say, expect more, a lot more. A Dav more!
But, wait, Dav wants to win now, atleast one!
And, you know, if he wants something, he gets it. No ifs or buts. Period.
Without the hint of a smile, hey you, yes you, are you ready too?
