NatWest Series, 2005
Following the disappointing 2005 Test series tour of England,
Bangladesh had a successful outing in the subsequent 2005 edition of the
NatWest Series with England and Australia. The highlight of the tour was
Bangladesh beating the World Champion Aussies by 5 wickets in their
2nd ODI, with Mohammad Ashraful scoring the 2nd ODI century for
Bangladesh.
While they were soundly beaten in some of the games, espcially
against a rampaging England, Bangladesh showed definite signs of
coming of age in the ODI arena - Australia had to fight hard to win in
the last ODI against Bangladesh.
Australia and England moves on to the Bangladesh. Bangladesh returns
home with heads held high.
