Bangladesh completed a series whitewash as they beat Zimbabwe by three
wickets in the final match of the 5-match AKTEL sreies. After Habibul
Bashar won the toss and invited the visitors to bat first, opening batsman
Stuart Matsikenyeri's half-century helped Zimbabwe tally 193 runs for
eight wickets - with Mortaza capturing three wickets for Bangladesh.
In their innings, Bangladesh struggled to reach the target, as Gary Brent
offered some resistance - taking four wickets for 16 runs to peg back
Bangladesh. openers Shahriar Nafees and Mehrab Hossain had notched up
86 before man of the match Brent struck. Bangladesh were at one 163/6
point before Habibul Bashar and Mushfiqur Rahim calmed the crowd with
a match-winning stand of 34.

closer to a series whitewash when they thumped Zimabwe by 8 wickets with
a whopping 106 balls to spare. Bangladesh 147 for 2 (Aftab 58*) beat Zimbabwe
146 (Dabengwa 32, Mortaza 3-14) by eight wickets.

in the first ODI of the five-match Aktel ODI series in Khulna, Bangladesh
once again beat tourists in the second ODI at the Shaheed Chandu Stadium
in Bogra. After being put in to bat, Sean Williams's half century helped
Zimbabwe reach a competitive 217/7. Left-arm spinners Mohammad Rafique
and Saqibul Hasan, and fast bowler Mashrafe Mortaza grabbed two wickets
apiece for Bangladesh.
In return, Bangladesh saw off the score losing only 4 wickets in 42.2

partner Mehran Hossain jnr. put on a fine 54. Together the two put on

Nafees batted through the innings and got his third consecutive century
against Zimbabwe.
Earlier Zimbabwe started well, but Bangladeshi spinners put their hopes
of a good score down the drain. Tight bowling from Razzak(4/33), Rafique(2/35)
and Saqib(2/30) forced Zimbabwe to end at only 185/9.
MASHRAFE Mortaza and Abdur Razzak helped Bangladesh defeat Zimbabwe
by 43 runs in a one-off Twenty-20 cricket international. All rounder Mortaza
slammed a brisk 36 and left-arm spinner Razzak bagged 3-15 as Bangladesh
comfortably won the maiden Twenty-20 international for both teams. Put
in to bat, Bangladesh set a target of 167 for the visitors, who folded
up for 123 in exactly 20 overs.
Bangladesh 166 (Mortaza 36, Utseya 3-25) beat Zimbabwe 123 for
9 (Williams 38, Razzak 3-15) by 43 runs
Mohammad Rafique has a career aggregate of 95 ODI wickets and needs
five more to reach the 100 wicket milestone, and also the 1,000 runs
