for a modest 234 but threw the advantage away after losing five top order batsmen in a space of 11 runs, and collapsed from 45/0 to 56/5 to lose the match.

Bangladesh captain Mohammad Ashraful is looking to build on the positives from the first ODI to level the series

"We have lost two-three wickets too quickly after a partnership. We have to be careful about that. Also, I was very pleased at the way we kept fighting in the field during the Sri Lanka innings in the first ODI. I want that spirit tomorrow also we have to take the opportunities that come to us."

"Our top order batsmen are repeating same mistakes over and again. They must perform to challenge an opposition like Sri Lanka. We must take responsibilities of our actions," he added.

Bangladesh coach Shaun Williams also wants to take heart from the first ODI and remains optimistic about a positive outcome.

"We were winning till for 60 overs in the first match and then five overs changed everything. This team has the potential and if we can play quality, hard cricket for 100 overs then it is possible to get a very good result," said Williams.

Bangladesh think tank has opted for an unchanged playing XI for the second ODI, but hinted some changes in the batting order to suit the game planning depending on situation.

Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardene has already made his intention public to secure a clean sweep in the ODI series just like the Tests, Bangladesh need to learn from their mistakes to have any chance to change their fate in the ODI series.
