India won the second and final Test of two match GrameenPhone Test series by an emphatic margin of an innings and 239 runs inside three days. With this win they secured the Test series 1-0. Zaheer Khan was adjudged Man of the Match for his 7 wicket haul in the match, while Sachin Tendulkar was chosen as man of the series for his back to back centuries.
India enforced the follow on after restricting Bangladesh for a meager 118 in the first innings. Couple of half centuries from Ashraful (67 off 41 deliveries) and Mashrafe (70 off 68 deliveries) lifted Bangladesh to 253 in the second innings, but could not prevent the inevitable.
The first Test between the two sides in Chittagong ended in a draw.
