Bangladesh team management have confirmed that the injury sustained by prolific batsman Aftab Ahmed is not serious and he will feature in the Tigers world cup campaign. Aftab sustained the injury in the second warm up match against Scotland and had to leave the field on streture
BCB chief executive Mahmudur Rahman in a statement said "What we knew that there is nothing wrong in his MRI report, which was done on Friday. The team management also informed the board that they are hopeful that the middle-order batsman would be able to play the first game against India,"
After attending the world cup opening ceremony at the new stadium close to Montego Bay on the northern coast of Jamaica, Bangladesh team are now off to Trinidad and Tobago today where their group stage matches will be played.
