Sri Lanka outplayed Tigers in the all important super 8 clash of the Twenty20 World Cup by 64 runs at The Wanderers in Johannesburg yesterday (Tuesday).
A good performance from the bowlers restricted Sri Lanka to 147 in 20 overs, but a shoddy display from batsmen wiped out their hopes of a place in the ICC World Twenty20 semi-finals. Bangladesh succumbed to lowly 83 in 15.5 overs after a bizarre display of erratic stroke play.
Bangladesh will play their final match of the super eight stage against Pakistan in Cape Town tomorrow (Thursday).
