A sparkling century followed by a 3 wicket haul by Mehrab Hosssain Jnr. inspired Bangladesh to their second victory on Australian soil at Gardens Oval in Darwin on Wednesday. Bangladesh skipper Mohammad Ashraful ably supported Mehrab with a breezy 77 ball 80 and laid the platform for an imposing 305 for 4 in the stipulated 50 overs.
Bangladesh spinners restricted Northern Territory Chief Ministers XI to 185 in 36.3 overs securing a 120 run win. Alok Kapali and Mehrab Hossain Jnr. bagged three wickets apiece while Shahadat, Dollar and Ashraful grabbed one wicket each.
Bangladesh will take on world champion Australia in the first match of the three match ODI series at Mararra Oval in Darwin on Saturday.
