Persistent rain and thunderstorm dominated day 3 of the first Test at OUTsurance Oval in Bloemfontein today. Bangladesh resumed day 3 on 20/1 in the second innings and only 19.2 overs were played on day 3 as the tourists lost two more wickets and finished the day on 67/3.
Both Tamim Iqbal and Zunaed Siddique appeared settled in the middle before sudden rush of blood resulted in their downfall. Both of them were guilty of playing away from the body and edged behind the wicket. Bangladesh skipper Mohammad Ashraful (7*) survived some nervy moments and will resume day 4 with Mehrab Hossain Jr. who is yet to open his account. Bangladesh still need 221 runs to make South Africa bat again.
