Bangladesh could survive only 2 hours and 10 minutes on 4th day morning as South Africa decimated the tourists with pace and swing bowling at OUTsurance Oval in Bloemfontein today. South Africa secured an innings and 129 runs victory over Bangladesh to take 1-0 lead in the two match Castle Test series.
Dale Steyn was again wrecker-in-chief as he bagged another five wicket haul to increase his match tally to 7 wickets. In addition to poor shot selections, Bangladesh also displayed poor understanding in running between the wickets in a forgettable Test for the Bangladesh fans present on the field. Mehrab Hossain top scored with 43 runs while Shahadat again added valuable 16 runs which helped Bangladesh to cross 150 run mark.
South Africa skipper Graeme Smith was adjudged man of the match for his brilliant 157 runs. The second Test will start at Centurion on Wednesday.
