Bangladesh could only survive 36.4 overs in the second innings to concede yet another innings defeat inside 3 days in the second Test in Centurion today. Bangladesh stated the second innings trailing the hosts by 179 runs after Boucher and Prince propelled South Africa to 429 runs in the first innings. Poor batting approach coupled with three needless and idiotic run outs resulted in a forgettable day for Bangladesh as they were bowled out for an abject 131.
Shakib Al Hasan continued his fine form with ball and bagged five-for for the second successive Test, but could do little to revive a paralysed Bangladesh batting line-up who offered little resistance against the fiery South African pace attack. Shakib bagged 6 wickets for 99 runs and raised his series tally to 11 wickets. Bangladesh's next assignment is against Sri Lanka at home with first Test starting on 26th December 2008.
