Bangladesh selectors have included three un-capped players in the 14-man squad for the three match ODI series against New Zealand which is due to start on October 9. The players, Naeem Islam, Imrul Kayes and Mahbubul Alam, were part of the BCB academy team which have recently won the one day series against their Sri Lankan counterpart.
Rakibul Hasan, who fructured his right thumb during Australia series, missed out and is expected to be fit for the Test series. On the other hand, left arm seamer Syed Rasel who was suffering from an ankle injury returned to the squad after passing a fitness test.
Mohammad Ashrafal is retained as the skipper and Mashrafe Mortaza will serve as his deputy in the 14-man squad, which includes six batsmen, three allrounders, a wicketkeeper, and four bowlers.
