Bangladesh XI beat Zim in warm-up match

The visiting Zimbabweans got off to an inauspicious start as hey lost the opening limited-over practice match to the BCB XI at the BKSP cricket ground.

The visitors were bundled out for 194 in 46.1 overs in their chase of the home side's 223 for nine. Promising leggie, Nur Hussain, was the pick of Bangladesh bowlers with his three wickets. Another promising slow bowler Asif Ahmed throttled the tail with 2 wickets.

Earlier, the BCB made a poor start when they lost Shahriar Nafees, Jahurul Islam and Alok Kapali in quick succession, leaving the home side at 39 for 3. Asif Ahmed and wicketkeeperSaghir Hossain then stepped up and scored patient 40s to help the BCB XI to eventually score a fighting 223.
