With the World Cup over, all fans of Bangladesh cricket are now focused on the Australian tour of Bangladesh. This will be their first tour of Bangladesh since 2006. The Aussies arrive April 4 and will play 3 ODIs on April 9, April 11 and April 13, all at the Shere Bangla Stadium in Mirpur.
This wil be Australia's first tour with new captain Michael Clarke who takes over from Ricky Ponting. Shane Watson will be the new vice-captain under Clarke. The team will be almost the same team that was at the World Cup with some minor changes. Xavier Doherty has replaces Jason Kejza and James Pattinson has been recalled to replace now retired Shaun Tait. David Hussey won;t be touring due to the imminent birth of his child.
Bangladesh has made no changes to the leadership with Shakib Al Hassan ad Tamim Iqbal as captain and vice-captain. Mohammad Ashraful was left our of the tour while Mashrafe Mortaza, who missed the World Cup with injury, has been recalled, along with middle-order batsman Alok Kapali. Three other World Cup members Junaid Siddique, Naeem Islam and Nazmul Hossain. Batsman Shuvagoto Hom makes his debut.
